For starters, the manager is a cool guy and friendly however I question him on the people he hires. This one girl does not speak english which caused two incidents of her making me the wrong order and being given the wrong order two times in a row. Very recently, my bagel was burnt all on the bottom and sides of the bagel and tasted burnt as well. My boyfriend went to go get the order and told me that he saw a bagel catch on fire and the staff laughed about it and still served it. Little did we know it was my bagel that was going to be STILL served to me after it caught on fire and was clearly burnt. Never going here again lol. Ridiculous.

Had high hopes but was disappointed. Got a BEC on everything and a cold brew. The bagel itself was good, but everything else on it made the sandwich as a whole just ok. Cold brew was ok but the vanilla flavoring made it taste weird. The staff were nice. Their system is very inefficient. The coffee bar/area was the opposite side of the counter where you order. One person was responsible for taking in person orders, answering the phone, and making the coffee. The location itself was dirty and things were broken. Tables looked like they didn’t get cleaned after being used. The kitchen was in the same room as the tables. The whole places smelled like bacon grease, now my clothes smell like it. Would not come back.

Walking in you could feel the negativity. Not one person working there smiled (actually they all looked absolutely miserable). We were not greeted with a hello, what can I get for you or even said have a nice day as we were handed our food. All the things that are considered customer service. We had to ask to be waited on and it was like we were asking for too much. Highly doubt we will go back. Avalon Bagel has severely gone down hill with customer service. Only reason this location will even make it is because there isn’t much choice for a bagel or breakfast place in Rio Grande area.

Really large portio of food and the meal is really good especially the nova bowl, the omlette and the fries. I highly recommend it.

I get a breakfast sandwich there all the time but my only complaint is that they never cook the bacon long enough it still has a heart beat most of the time. I guess I have to tell them to cook it longer.

My mom and I were thrilled when we learned that our hotel offered room service! I ordered and 30 minutes later we get an email saying our order was cancelled.
It’s one thing to cancel the order for unforeseen circumstances, but to clown around and do it 30 minutes later is a special kind of unprofessional.
Mark my words, by the time my family comes back to the Wildwoods in May, Avalon Coffee will no longer have a delivery contract with all the hotels…
Honest to god just so confused lol. Bagels and cream cheese are so good but service is awkward and seemingly intentionally slow. Apparently they make their fruit smoothies with ice and syrup concentrate instead of actual fruit? Espresso has grounds in it, ran out of iced coffee, and literally only had almond milk left. Not even whole milk lmao. Bagels are still the best though

Completely forgot one of my bagels. Out of most pastry. I went on a Sunday at 9am. No sense of urgency and they ignore customers waiting. Not good.

This place is terrible. This was their third chance for us. During the off season they were ok. Although they have a limited selection of pastries, the coffee was decent and the food was tasty. Second time coffee was still good but "toasted" bagel was never anywhere near a toaster and breakfast sandwich was mediocre. This time, the coffee is bad, bagel, even though extra toasting was asked for is, again, untoasted, the strawberry cream cheese has no strawberry flavor, "nobody made crumb cake," and they "forgot to make" my husband's sandwich, which he discovered after paying for it. We'll skip all the Avalon coffee locations!
