I recently went for New Year's and I'd go almost always if not every day if I lived closer to be honest. Even after a rough patch in my life with family deaths and hardships, I still feel welcomed and incredibly loved by all who work there. I'd be delighted to work there as a drag performer since they have a lovely variety of performances and artists that showcase what it is that they do best.

Sad to see how downhill this place has gone spent new years here and expected the fun experience I had years ago but sad decor the upstairs opening so late and the awful dj made it an experience I wouldnt repeat. If this is how they treat a special occasion like new years I cant imagine how bad it must be on a normal night.

I’ve been coming to feathers for quite some time now, so it’s time I give back and give this place the praise it deserves. Coming here has helped me find community, helped raise me up through so many rough patches, and just allowed me to go out and have fun as my true self. Feathers truly is a safe space, especially thanks to the staff and servers who keep this place afloat (like Jeff at the door, Ray at the band booth, Eddie & Alex at the Bar), and so many more. Whether it be a karaoke night, or club night, it’s been truly a blessing to have a place here.
My only concern as of recent is that there has been a lack of security on non-club nights which has allowed for questionable people to waltz into the bar, which is making me reluctant to return on my own as of recent despite me being a regular. A man walked in on a karaoke night and approached my boyfriend and I, then proceeded to follow us out to our car, and trap us in with his car. Had there had been security, this would’ve been a non issue, because I’ve never had something like this happen. I just want to put this out there, not to deter anyone from coming, because the regular patrons on non-club and club nights are usually all very lovely people who I’ve come to know personally.
Overall if you’re part of the community or looking to explore and have a good time, i definitely recommend Feathers, I’ve been able to introduce so many people to this bar, and I hope you’ll give it a shot too 🙏.
