I’m a big fan of this place—their thin-crust Works Pizza is perfect. I usually walk over and pick up my order myself since I live extremely close (I can literally see the entrance from my house).

Yesterday, however, I placed a delivery order because my child had a playdate and I couldn’t leave the house while supervising multiple kids.

Unfortunately, the delivery arrived more than 30 minutes later than the scheduled time. I called the restaurant to express my concern, as I honestly did not expect such a delay from a restaurant located just steps away. When the delivery person arrived, he commented that choosing delivery was my decision, not his, and he defended himself by mentioning things I did not expect. While that is true that delivery was my choice, I did pay for delivery, including a tip, and expected a basic level of professionalism.

The kids were happy with their cheese pizza, as expected. Still, the overall experience was disappointing, and I’m not sure I would place another delivery order in the future if I need one.

We ordered catering from River Edge Pizza Kitchen for my daughter’s birthday at Van Saun Bergen County Zoo this summer and they were extraordinary! First off, no other pizza place would deliver to the zoo at 11 am on a weekend, so not only did they deliver on time and made sure we had everything we needed (including sending serving utensils and napkins), the front desk and the owner were great to work with and called to confirm we received everything. The best part: the food was great and everyone enjoyed the pizza and raved about the Penne Vodka pasta! River Edge Pizza Kitchen is our new go to spot for pizza and catering.

I came to this location before it was bought by the new owner. I loved it as a kid when it was owned by the previous couple, and I love it now as it is with the new owner. I usually order a slice or two of plain pizza, maybe garlic knots or garlic bread at times, and my brother orders a chicken cutlet sandwich with everything on it, and we occasionally get calamari or full pies here. No matter what, the food is always delicious! The wait time usually isn't bad, but sometimes, usually around dinner time on a weekend, they get a lot of orders, which is understandable.
As for the pizza, they're pretty customizable. Something I notice is that you can get either thin or regular crust, and both are fantastic! I'm a little picky with calamari, but I like the ones they serve here.
There's plenty of seating here for groups, one table for two, and two tables for five. There's outside seating, too, if the weather's nice. There is also a bathroom towards the back and past the empty pizza boxes. Overall, it's a nice place to be, though it may get hot over the summer. It's pretty affordable, and the workers are all friendly and welcoming, even on the phone! I really recommend this place.

PS: as for parking, there's some parallel parking outside on the street, though it is a main road, so do beware for your side mirrors! If there's space, there's a small parking lot to the left of the building. It can get filled, though, so I'd recommend parking on the nearby streets, like Washington Avenue or Lincoln Avenue. Lincoln Ave can be a little tricky if you're coming directly from Kinderkamack, but the two mentioned streets are at walkable distances from the pizza kitchen.

Just stopped in for a slice, pizza is very good, and the staff was very nice. They acknowledged me as soon as I walked in even though they were busy. Being from New York City I think I know Pizza, this was good stuff, and the prices were very reasonable, I wasn't overcharged

Was looking a decent pizza joint in the area and read positive reviews on REPK, decided to try for lunch today. Pizza was legit NYC-level good! Had the regular cheese thin crust pie with half mushroom + Italian hero, and LOVED it. Not too salty (like the other 1000+ pizzerias in the area), and just solid great tasting NYC pizza & hero that's only possible from decades of experience. DEFINITELY will be back since we only live few minutes away. Planning to try other dishes on the menu next time. Highly recommend!!!!
