I went to Ammata with my friends after hearing about the amazing food here. Food was delicious with great quality and quantity! However, the service was overbearing and very distracting. Although we wanted to enjoy the food and atmosphere more, we ended up leaving earlier than anticipated because it seemed like they wanted us out ASAP.

Amazing food and cozy restaurant! The favorite is the crispy betel leaves. It was unique and the first time i've ever tried it. Would definitely have it again when I come back. Service is quite fast even though the restaurant seems to always be packed. Lots of parking and easy to get to

We love this place, usually for takeout. It seems to be the only really good restaurant in River Vale! We are babies about the spice level so we can't explore the full menu, but we've found a handful of items that we really enjoy and come back to again and again. (Massaman curry, crab fried rice, duck + lychee salad, pad see ew, various appetizers. We discovered early on that the dishes marked spicy are actually spicy.)

Most of the menu items are too expensive for daily meals. Except for the noodles section. If you browse through the whole menu you'll find something from the noodles menu where you can still get good value for the price. The khao soi is priced right, not too overpriced like the other menu items. I recommend it to anyone who didn't have a good experience in the past. Do give this restaurant a 2nd chance & order off the noodles section

I took my father here for his birthday to try Thai food for the first time, and sadly, it was a letdown. His fried snapper was overly breaded and bland and was more akin to a jumbo fried nugget— the side salad was the good part. The spring rolls and sauce were a delight. We ended up going to another restaurant since my father didn't like his main, which was the point. The Thai iced tea wasn’t refreshing, but rather 'dry', and my 'Hang Lay' short rib dish tasted more like sweet beef stew with no character than Thai curry. This was after I tried it at home. I’ve had great Thai food across the country and I regret spending nearly $100 on such a disappointing experience.

I visited this place twice. Food at lunch was ok, good pineapple fried rice. But not great or worth to visit for that. Second time, it was the worst customer service. They keep ignoring us at front, standing almost 15min. No greeting, no word. They just looked at us, ignoring us. Another customer came in after 10min, the lady from the restaurant greeted with smile, served the table immediately. We are not sure why we were ignored completely. McDonald service is better than here. I would not recommend at all. After all, we felt better by leaving there. Not worth to spend money even if food is good.
