We had a reservation at 7. We were not seated until 7:45. For our patience we were offered Garlic Knots which we never received. The waitress was inattentive and only came to serve food, never to refills on our drinks. The food was pretty good, but it wasn't excellent. Personally I don't think I would go back if I wasn't with them.

. This was my first and last visit to this establishment. Upon entering, I sensed an odd atmosphere due to the apparent understaffing and overworking of the employees. Despite the excellent food, the overall experience was marred by numerous issues. Initially, our waitress seemed pleasant but her attentiveness waned as time passed. We had to repeat 'excuse me' four times directly to her, to no avail, and eventually requested another waitress to bring our check. This restaurant urgently needs to improve its customer service and project a more welcoming attitude towards patrons. A critical step would be to address the performance of a waitress named Amanda, who has neck tattoos. Her rudeness and lack of attentiveness throughout our visit were notable. She failed to check on us or inquire if we needed anything, significantly contributing to the poor service

The Italian restaurant scene is unfortunately more and more notorious for high prices and wildly small portions. Charging you for the atmosphere and the name of the restaurant. Well this is not what you get in this case. The food was spectacular and I'm not being hyperbolic. Calamari was fried beautifully and not over breaded like a lot of other places. The ravioli dish came with huge slabs of fresh ravioli and red sauce. The salad I ordered came with an abundance of each ingredient listed on the menu. Instead of just a few of each ingredient here and there. I'll be honest I went in with low expectations because of how much Italian restaurants left me broke and hungry. Were the portions huge no but they were way more fair than any place in North Jersey that I have been too and the food was genuinely cooked with individual care....the place had a rustic Italian wood look that was great too...would recommend.

One of the best meals I've had in quite some time. My daughter raved about the GF pizza and the appetizers, including the peach salad and meatballs, were delicious. Will definitely visit in the future!

Parking: Not enough parking, strip mall has too many stores. If your picking up it sucks. If you eat in it's fine

Boniello’s is an absolute gem and hands-down one of the finest dining experiences you’ll find in Riverdale, NJ. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with warmth and hospitality that make you feel like family. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant, making it ideal for everything from a casual dinner to a special celebration.

Now, let’s talk about the food—simply outstanding! Every dish is crafted with care and bursting with flavor. Their menu offers a variety of options, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The pasta is always cooked to perfection, and their sauces are rich, authentic, and absolutely delicious. If you’re a fan of Italian cuisine, their pizza is not to be missed—crispy crust, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. The appetizers and desserts are just as spectacular; don’t skip the tiramisu!

The staff goes above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is flawless. They’re attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely invested in making sure you have a great time. The service alone is reason enough to keep coming back.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Boniello’s is the kind of place you’ll be raving about to your friends. It’s rare to find a restaurant that consistently delivers such exceptional food and service, but Boniello’s does it every single time. Five stars aren’t enough—this place is a solid ten out of ten!

I hadn't been there in a while, and it's definitely not what it used to be. 3 out of 5 dinners were great!! The other 2 were Eh. One meal was taken off the bill, and it did not taste too great. The staff and manager were all very nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was great also.

Food was well priced and good however we were treated very disrespectfully. There are two eating areas, one in front by the door, another on the other side. We had reservations and the 4 of us were seated in the front area. All tables in both areas were empty except for our table snd one other. We found it very cold in the room and asked to be seated in the other room where it was warmer. They said no cause the tables were all reserved. We kept our jackets on but it was quite chilly. Then another group of 5 walked in and were seated behind us. After about 5 minutes we heard them complain about the cold as well and ask to be moved. They moved them immediately. We honestly could not believe it. I wanted to say something but my friends did not. We ate, the food was good, and when we left more than half of the tables in the back were still empty. We still left a decent tip but we will not be returning.

Placed a to go order at Boniellos for a slice a pizza with extra cheese and chicken vodka sliders.
They made the wrong kind of sliders and had to remake it. My pizza was cold and I had to put it in a microwave to reheat it. And as you can tell from my picture no extra cheese.
As I am waiting for part of my order to be remade and the rest to get cold another person walked in to get his to go order. His was also not ready on time and they missed an entire part of his order.
The lack of customer service. The attitude of the wait staff felt like “not my problem” they hid in the kitchen to fix the orders.
Will NEVER go there again. this was a lunch order. If they can’t handle lunch forget about trying for dinner.
It is worth the drive to go ANYWHERE else.
This is not the first time I have had a problem here.
They need to retrain there staff or replace them. I know employees are hard to find but if you lose customers you don’t need staff.

Great little mom and pop restaurant. It took me back to my childhood when mom and pop would take us out to dinner. It had the same look and same atmosphere. It was awesome. We got a rice ball for a app. Perfectly cooked, peas inside with chopped meat and cheese. What a treat. We also got the meatballs. They were huge. Tasted amazing. Then we had the garlic knots as a app. The sauce was out of the world. I had penne vodka. All those flavors bursting into my mouth at once, heavenly. My fiance had chicken and shrimp carbona. She so enjoyed her dinner. My brother had penne vodka minus the vegetables. He couldn't get enough. The wait staff was ready to refill our drinks or get us something else to eat. I will definitely be returning for some more awesome food and great atmosphere.

I am writing to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding an incident that occurred during my visit to your restaurant tonight.

A family with a service dog entered the dining room, and I was shocked by the behavior of one of your staff members, Cindy, who was not our waitress. From the moment they arrived, Cindy displayed an extremely rude attitude towards the family, attempting to refuse them service while rolling her eyes and creating a tense atmosphere for everyone present. Her behavior was not only uncomfortable for the family involved, but for everyone in the dining room.

As if that wasn’t enough, Cindy proceeded to come to my table uninvited, speaking negatively about the family and calling them “ridiculous” while I was trying to enjoy my dinner with my own family. Despite my efforts to remain polite, she returned a second time, continuing to rant about the situation and insisting that her brother, a dog trainer, told her service dogs are not allowed in such settings. When I calmly told her that they are indeed allowed, she became rude and nasty towards me, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable.

To make matters worse, she continued to speak loudly about this family to other patrons, involving them in the situation, which I found highly unprofessional. Her behavior was discriminatory and bordered on bullying, as she unnecessarily dragged others into a situation they had no part in.

As a mental health therapist, I was appalled by her lack of empathy and understanding for someone who may have been struggling, and I was left feeling very disturbed by the way Cindy handled the situation. I am seriously considering filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as no paying customer should be subjected to this kind of treatment in a professional dining environment.

I kindly ask that you take immediate action to address this matter. This incident has greatly impacted my experience at your restaurant, and I hope steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen to others in the future.

Ordered the Bolognese sauce, which I have made myself and gotten it many different places. the carrots and celery should be minced so that it disintegrates, but cutting it small takes more effort and time this sauce had 1 inch pieces of carrots and celery so much that there was more of the carrots and celery than the meat sauce was very watery and it felt more like a stew with spaghetti in it

Great Find! They were accommodating to our dog and our 11 month old at the outdoor seating. They had a separate gluten and dairy free menu with an incredible amount of fresh options.(gluten free pasta was amazing).

Our waitress was very attentive, friendly and had a lot of really good recommendations. HiGHLY Recommend! We will definitely be coming back!
