The only issue was trying to get someone to speak English on the phone when I called. After talking to 3 different females, the fourth one spoke English. And the valley people lost my car keys ticket. I had to go thru all the keys to fi d mine.

That's when I came to this place and I thought it was good but today I came back and the service was terrible.I asked him for a simple beer and he asked me for an ID, knowing that many foreigners do not have that document, even though I showed him a photo, he insisted on a physical one.It should be noted that the first time I also ordered drinks with liquor and they never gave me a problem.

First time at the New Rochelle location, and we had a great experience!! The wait was not as long as we were told upon arrival, and our server, Kevin, was very understanding and helpful with suggestions. I had a couple of Blue Moon beers at the bar that were slightly warm, but we chalked it up to the place being busy. Regardless of the amount of business, they need to keep a cold supply on hand. We were given cold glasses for the beers, which helped. I was there with my niece for a double celebration of our birthdays, which are only days apart. We both ordered churrasco, but I had mine with arroz moro, frijoles negros, and tostones with garlic oil. My niece had hers with tostones and maduros. Both orders arrived a little too undercooked for her, which they corrected no questions asked. I ate mine, which was medium rare but still good in my opinion. Overall, it was a great experience, and we both had a good time. We had our picture taken twice at $20 a pop. But since we were celebrating our birthdays, we figured why not. I understand the restaurant business makes money based on how many tables per location, but they need to somehow not place them so close together. Maybe create a few couples only areas for a more intimate and romantic dining experience. Definitely recommend Rumba Cubana!! I had the pargo Frito Entero con arroz moro. That was fantastic!!! My friend ordered the Tostones Montaditos con churrasco, Bistec Empanizado con arroz blanco y habichuelas negra.Let’s get into the details the fried fish with the arroz morro was great they delivered! I also ordered the drink death by coconut, and after exactly four sips it was done There was barely any coconut, ?and you could barely taste the alcohol that was in there, so they missed the mark on that. The Tostones were just OK. The meat could’ve been seasoned a little bit more. It was literally Tostones and cut single pieces of meat on top with a chimichurri type of sauce in the middle that needed a little bit more acidity, because it was just oily. Be aware they do cut the tostones in half ?Definitely order the black beans because they were awesome. Do not I repeat do not order the bistec Unless you want to waste your money, see photo evidence. It looks like they took a piece of skirt steak and sliced it in half then added breading and fried it. They get points for breading it was seasoned however, you can see that it immediately slipped off the steak, and the steak was nonexistent. I did give this high points because not everything was bad and the service was amazing and so was the atmosphere. I would not mind going back, To try other things on the menu.Kid-friendliness: There were plenty of families dining with kids. Kids menu available and served in cute retro car serve ware.

First time at the New Rochelle location, it’s always a good sign when establishments with different locations are consistent with their service model. We really like Rumba and their Rte 17 place did not disappoint. Great food, the flavors are amazing, service exceptional and wonderful portions, you will leave satisfied.

Came by for dinner on the Sunday night of President's Day Weekend at around 7. The place was pretty packed and there were some groups waiting. Luckily, there was a table for us - I think because we were only two people. We were in the mood for some tapas and shareable plates, so we ordered that instead of each getting an entree to share. We had:-Ajiaco (meat & vegetable soup, only available on Saturdays and Sundays) - this had some beef, pork, potatoes, and carrots. It was very flavorful and hearty. Perfect for a cold day-Ham croquettes - these were pretty standard, nothing to write home about-Chicharrones de Pescado (crispy bites of battered fish filet, served with tartar sauce) - the fish was good but I wish the batter was crispier. It was a little too oily-El Rumberito (appetizer sampler which included ham croquettes, corn tamale, beef empanada, corn fritters, crispy pork bites, and beef stuffed potato, served with homemade hot sauce) - the only thing I really liked was the beef empanada. The hot sauce is very heavy on the vinegar, which eventually grew on me because it helped cut out some of the greasiness-Pan con Bistec (grilled thin steak, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and potato sticks) - although the steak was thin, it was still chewy and kind of bland. The bread wasn't that greatBased on what we ordered, I would say it's more 3 stars but I think maybe we just picked the wrong items, and we accidentally picked too many (almost all) fried items, so it was really heavy. We saw other patrons getting rice dishes, and those looked really good. Service was also very attentive. As we were waiting to ask for the bill, we consolidated all the leftovers onto one plate, and they brought out a box before we even asked.I'll be back to try some of the entrees so I shall provide an update!

Food was delicious but the noise level was too high. I had to strain to hear the person I was with who sat across from me. Maybe if I was seated in another area it would have been better. I'll give it another shot.
