Too expensive for a mangu with goat almost 20 dollars apart from the fact that it is in NJ not in New York the service is also bad

Although the food is good, slightly over priced. It’s also the only Spanish spot I know that runs out of simple appetizers like empanadas & cant just fry more..

This place is a "hole-in-the-wall" (seating for about 10). The service from behind the counter was friendly and good (explaining thoroughly what each food was to this non-Spanish speaker). And the food was quite delicious (with generous portions). And a bargain (two meat/rice/bean entrees for $20). Some of the other customers that were there while I was were from the DR and all seemed like locals. I like this place!

I've only been here twice, but so far so good. My only complaint is that I wish they'd open earlier. I have to be at work by 8am, so if they opened at 7am instead of later I might be able to get breakfast here too. Also, they're not very transparent with pricing. Idk how I spent $17 on a dinner for 1 person. And the second time $13.

WARNING VERY EXPENSIVE for a hole in the wall eatery!!!Just picked up a plate today 3/14/24 as I was making a delivery across the street. White rice, beans, and stewed tail. $15!!!We're not talking about a Hoboken NJ Spanish restaurant here ppl. Food was ok but that price will keep me away so fair warning. I should have just drove down half a mile to the wawa??♂️

I've been coming here for years. I get my lunch with pernil/goat/ox of whatever is left because sometimes I get there late, or some delicious soup. Chicken is good too. If you aren't happy then I think you just have a palette for something different or another cuisine. Every now and then my friends will also ask me to pick them up something on the way over if they know I'm stopping here.
Amazing food great prices!!!

I only ordered a green salad with baked chicken and whipped papaya but I can tell you that it was the best salad I ever ate thanks to the chicken and how they seasoned it. One of the few green salads that was a pleasure to eat. And the portion of the chicken that was made perfect. I loved it I ordered the smoothie with diet sugar and I loved how they made it. Thanks for that. It's just that there was a little too much water at the bottom of the bowl but from there everything else was very good and good service.
