When I say hearty, you get your money’s worth as these are packed with meat and not small in size!!! The pricing is on point and the service is great!!!An impressive spot in the heart of Salem!I highly recommend this gem of authentic Puerto Rican food that will have you wanting to return for more. I cannot wait to return to try more dishes!!!! This place came highly recommended, and my love for the food, I was skeptical but left highly impressed!!!!!!!! I want to be a fan of this place but can't understand their hours. Out of the 5 times I have tried to patronize this business I was only successful twice. My fiancé is Puerto Rican and absolutely loves the food but the hours keep changing and even as I post this the hours say open until 10. While google says 8 and their door says 5. How could I ever imagine to get dinner here when they close before either of us even clock out. It wouldn't be so upsetting if they could at the very least update all of their socials. I even had to go through the nightmare of getting a refund on a delivery order from DoorDash because once again they were closed when they said open on the app. The food is good but they seem not to care about convenience for their customers or would be customers and that is why I'm giving the rating I am. Please see photo below for ACTUAL operating hours. Hopefully I can save someone else from the absolute hassle that this place is.

We eat at El Paladar Boricua every wednesday for lunch becuase we just cannot get enough. Tito and Car are wonderful people that make incredible food! Our personal favorites are the Garlic Chicken and Pernil. We had them cater our house warming party with 40 + guests, of course ordering the pernil and garlic chicken as well as a tray of their spanish rice. The price was well worth it! Everyone was able to get at least two plates full and we had left overs. The service, the food, and atmosphere are all incredible! We cannot recommend this place enough!
