I was very hopeful about this place and even came across the bridge to try it. Unfortunately it was extremely disappointing. It is amateur cooking at best. And I was served undercooked food where the batter was still "wet". I had to place it into my air fryer to attempt to complete the cooking.

Had lunch w/my Aid,am so pleasedbto say""da food was all that,I had the fried fish, collards&sweet potato along w/strawberry lemonade,Let me say the ambience was very inviting,the service was on POINT!!!the food came hot&oh so GOOD!!!Thank You Nellie for da great service_great food!!!will definitely be back

Wow what an food experience. Not only were we surprised but so very pleasantly surprised at how fantastic our lunch was. My husband and I finally went and kicked ourselves for not going sooner. The food was incredible, kudos to the chef! We'll definitely be returning, can't wait!
My husband and I were staying at the Holiday Inn and we had a taste for soul food. We found Nellie’s on the door dash app and decided to place an order. We ordered the Fried Whiting Platter with Mac n Cheese and Corn on the Cob and the 4 Chicken Wings Platter with Mac N Cheese and Collard Greens. Everything was delicious and seasoned to perfection. We look forward to ordering from Nellie’s again when we return in the fall. Next time I want to try the Salmon Cheesesteak Peach Baked Beans and the Red Velvet cookies.

Food is amazing! I've tried most things on the menu and I'm amazed at how everything is so delicious. They use unique, family passed down recipes to serve real, high quality soul food! The only thing I can compare the food to is Mary Macs in GA, and I can confidently say Nellie's is a step above!

I have been to the restaurant four times. I have tried multiple things. I have a household of four so we have all tried something different every single time. It has been low quality food there salmon cheese steaks are OK anything other than that is a no the burgers no the wings no, all the soul food items no. Every time I come in the staff is so nice. I want the food to taste exactly how nice the staff is, but nope.

Food was bussin, I ordered the 2 piece chicken platter with collard greens and Mac in chesse, with yams and honey bread as add ons. Meat fell off the bones and was drenched in sauce. I like my yams in chunks for the texture but these diced yams were good ash. The honey bread was small but delicious. I came in when it was empty service was very friendly and fast. I ordered takeout but the place is clean and opening to dine in. I was gonna post pics of the food but I ate everything after the first bit, will definitely come here again tho

You can tell everything is made with care and love. My husband and I ordered from here the other night. The peaches and baked beans were AMAZING! We also had the bourbon chicken wings which were flavored and cooked to perfection ! The fried cauliflower was season and fried so good! We also got the Mac and cheese bowl. It had fried shrimp ( battered and seasoned ) home made Mac and cheese , and yams . You also can get multiple sauce side choices. It was spectacular. We got the seasoned French fries with cheese and chicken. I added garlic parm sauce. They were so good. Everywhere we had was amazing. My favorite part? The honey bread. I think it’s corn bread base. Best I ever had. We got take out. Everything was packaged with care. I can’t wait to try some other items on the menu. If you’re looking for a good flavor and good quality home cooked meal, Nellie’s is the spot.
