I can't really speak to the atmosphere as I've never sat down to eat in the restaurant. But I have picked up food here multiple times when visiting my parents who live in Parlin. The food is always excellent and you can tell it is made from scratch. The staff is always very nice.
Everything is made from scratch so the food takes a while to come out, there wasn't a lot of communication from the staff but once it arrived it was worth the wait. You can tell how much pride they take in their food.
I had high hopes for this place. Walking in it looked great, authentic tex mex, well decorated and seats available. I saw it was a small family run business which I appreciate and enjoy. Menu was full of classics we all know and love. The food came and it was average. Nachos with cheese sauce, similar to what you would find at a ball park, steak was in pieces that looked like shoe leather. Taste was fine but not what I would want from a sit down restaurant.
