Lam's Garden Chinese Food

9/8/25 - Another Monday night and the family wanted Chinese again. And that means another night I didn't get to go to my regular place. Tonight, we did take out from a place in Sayreville, NJ called New Lams Garden. One of the things about living in this area is that there's no shortage of great places to pick up a meal and this absolutely applies to Chinese food. Lams is a little bit further out than my regular place but the quality here may make me want to travel the extra miles. I ordered Beef and Bean Curd with a pork egg roll and got in on a few steamed pork dumplings too. The Beef and Bean Curd was perfectly cooked. The vegetables they used were all cooked perfectly. They were all drenched in a delectable brown sauce and snapped when you bit them. The egg roll was a bit greasy but more meaty than the ones that are usually available in this area. Appreciated! And the dumplings are clearly the ones are prepared on site and not just bought from a wholesaler. And I LOVE that. My daughter ordered chicken lo mein. You can just tell by the color of the dish how awesome it tasted. So yes I still have a solid Chinese place that I will return to and review. But in the mean time, New Lams Garden is more than just an adequate substitute. Points were deducted for clunky website with no ability to order online. Overall Rating: A- PS--- best thing about Chinese food is LEFTOVERS! I will enjoy this meal at least twice more in the coming days.

Favorite takeout in the area!! We’ve probably ordered close to 15 times by now and every single time the food is HOT, tastes fresh and EVERYTHING arrives! The staff is friendly and the driver as well!!! They sound BUSY on the weekends and we still get fresh food in 30-40 mins! Also I appreciate that they don’t rush while taking the orders!

This business thinks it is perfectly acceptable to deliver food without any utensils to eat it with. So I’m stuck at work without being able to eat the food I paid for warmly. I called to tell them they forgot to give me a spoon or fork and was told to kick rocks. Highly unprofessional.
