Be CAREFUL when ordering not to pay extra!! they changed their menu around and if your not careful you will get ripped off.
MENU - DO NOT ORDER THE 2 MEAT and 3 MEAT OPTIONS. Just order by the pound of the different meats you want. The platters no longer come with a side so there is no reason to get them. They have worked it out for you to pay extra if you order the wrong way. They also changed sweet potato fries to an appetizer instead of a side to charge more. They stopped including cornbread.
If you don’t believe me just take a minute and do the math before you order.
FOOD - the PULLED PORK was actually not good. I was very surprised that’s usually my favorite but it just had a bad taste. The PULLED CHICKEN was very good. I was shocked that’s usually the chicken was better than the pork. I did get some bones but that happens. The SWEET POTATO FRIES were definitely burnt a little so they weren’t as good as they used to be. Burgers are overcooked and dry.
SERVICE - not great service unfortunately. The manager seemed to have no concept of the new menu and did not know how to explain it well. After ordering I asked him if I would have been better just getting by the pound but he couldn’t understand the math.
LOCATION - nice new place plenty of seating, plenty of parking.
I totally understand having to increase prices but this is not the way to do it.

This place has BY FAR the best jalapeño poppers I’ve ever had. It’s guaranteed order every time I go here and they’re always consistent. This can be said about all the food I’ve had; Sliced Brisket sandwich, Buffalo pulled chicken sandwich, St Louis Ribs, Mac & cheese, and their Brussels Sprouts. Definitely want to give the burger a try and some point as well. Great all around establishment and will continue to come back!
I went here on my bday to take home some food! The guy at the counter made some recommendations and explained the menu! Food was delicious! Great ribs! Collard greens with a kick!! Banked beans packed with flavor!!!

We have ordered from local smoke in sea girt many times. The food is always delicious and fresh, and the service is great. We recently ordered from them and there were several items missing from a large order. They handled the situation with professionalism and fantastic customer service. You bet we will keep coming here.

Food is very good and tasty, a little pricey but worth it. Had the BBQ Grilled chicken sandwich which was very flavorful and filling, Mac and cheese was delicious also. Service was a little slow for no one being in there.

Picked up an order tonight and it was missing fries and 2 pieces of cornbread. I ordered three pieces for me and my husband ordered two. I was sad bc the cornbread is my favorite part. The food is just too expensive to be missing a good amount of it when I got home. Gave a couple stars bc the Mac and cheese and cornbread I did have were good as always

Ordered takeout Sunday night wings brisket brisket mac and cheese hush puppies pulled chicken 120 plus dollars of food Same was delivered it was cold over cooked and dried out like it had been laying under a heat lamp

I'm a self-proclaimed BBQ snob, and when I ordered the BBQ sampler here I was not really impressed. The ribs were the best of the bunch, but pulled pork was dry, not tender, and the brisket was simply forgettable. The sauces were fair but rather pedestrian in their scope and variety. Oh well.

Great place for ribs! If anyone in your group is gluten free, this is a great choice. I have Celiac Disease and have eaten here over a dozen times! The ribs are moist, have great flavor and the service and serving staff are top notch! There are lots of sides that are yummy, also GF sides. 5 stars!
