You can always expect a good meal in a lovely atmosphere. Everyone is very nice but when you get a server like Brian W. it's definitely a game changer. This young man was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Ask for a table with Brian W. You won't be sorry. He's the cherry on top.

Came here for happy hour. Ordered a menu cocktail, which is $2 off during HH and it had Kettle one listed as the base alcohol on the menu(would be $14 after 2 off). I watched the bartender pour Tito’s as the base. Tito’s cosmos are also listed as $10 during HH so I assumed she was giving me the other HH deal rather than the $2 off deal which I was good with. I looked at the bill and was charged $14, so for the full cocktail price less the $2, for a cocktail that should have had kettle one in it and not Tito’s. Next, I ordered a Pinot noir, house. A specific brand is on the HH menu for $7, which I did not ask for so that’s on me. I was served Imagery, which was the more expensive Pinot noir on the menu ($12 vs the house of $9). Why serve me the most expensive when I asked for house? Truly a rip off and bartenders do not respect happy hour. Will never come back since chefs international ruined it.

Just got back from Rods this evening. Husband ordered chicken pot pie and he said, “not much taste, and to much celery.” I got the cod entree. It was “one” small piece of cod, 5” long by 2” wide with buttered piccata sauce, a few capers w/steak wedges not the potatoes on the potatoes on the menu. I also had to ask for extra butter sauce b/c there wasn’t much on the plate.The price for the cod was $25. Size not worth the price. Irish coffee came like warm. My recommendation is to just stick with the burgers.

great place for family and friends. real neighborhood spot
One of my favorite places to sit at the bar and have a glass (or 2 ) of wine and a meal. My favorite is the strawberry salad with grilled shrimp. Happy hour is great !

Look in all fairness the whole area is stuck in the land of the frozen food (Cisco) thanks to the archaic liquor license system that effectively blocks fine tuned national franchises from establishing a beach head.
Rod’s was particularly disappointing because they channeled Bar Taco’s ambiance and delivered Taco Bell. Actually that’s not even fair because Taco Bell delivers relative to expectations.
Service was perfectly fine but until I see a sign that says “Under new ownership” we won’t be coming back.

This place unfortunately lost its charm when it reopened. Too commercialized, and the quality of food is not up to par with other bars like fratellos or harrigans down the road.

Adian S. is the best! Had a wonderful time with amazing service thanks to Aidan. Great food selection and a wonderful atmosphere. Bartenders were amazing too. Nice to sit outside and enjoy a drink and a great dinner.
