Rods is a great spot for casual coastal dining. The food is consistently tasty, and they offer a reasonable menu of gluten-free free options for those with diet restrictions that don't leave you stuck with a basic salad or plain chicken (something not many places offer). It may not have the most eclectic menu, but there is certainly something for everyone (even kids!).The atmosphere is great for a casual date night or dinner with your family. Stop by on the weekends during warm weather to enjoy the heated deck with a delicious beverage.Overall, it's our go-to for dinner with the inlaws or a night out when I can't convince myself to cook or clean dishes .. my husband never turns down a night at Rods, ladies. ?

Food was delicious, margarita was great, ambiance was very nice. My issue is with our server. I ordered the short ribs priced at $28 on the menu. My husband ordered the Lobster Roll on the specials menu. The waitress returned saying they didn't have the Lobster roll as she gave us the incorrect specials menu. When the check arrived, I questioned why the short ribs were charged at $32. She said it was the "Special". I had no idea there was a short rib special since we didn't get that menu. Rather than admit the mistake, she chose to lie. I checked the menu on the way out. The special included mushrooms & bacon. My meal did not. She, alone, left a bad taste in my mouth. Remember, honesty is always the best policy.

Went here the other night with my husband for dinner! Drinks were delish food was good but our server Lily had the most amazing recommendations and was very kind and attentive. When we go back we're asking for lily!
Love Rod's! Absolutely beautiful & comfortable atmosphere. Food & service are consistently great (Dawn is the best!). Tonight we had Shepherd's Pie (regular menu) and Hangar Steak Salad (special). Both were delicious and plentiful! Dawn provided us with spot on descriptions and was so helpful in our decision making. Great happy hour deals & excellent winter cocktail specials too!

I always hesitate to share my favorite places because…well, the obvious being that too many people find out and it won’t be as perfect! Rod‘s Tavern is the perfect place anytime of day or night…any season of the year. They currently have a fantastic winter cocktail pictured below called the Holiday Mule oh my goodness you must try it. Now that I’m finally a local (moved down almost 2 yrs ago) I will most definitely be stopping by more often. there’s a certain bartender that is so awesome to visit with.

I called Rods for a reservation which they don't take , however as we were celebrating a special occasion and had a party of 10: they made an exception. This establishment is BEAUTIFUL! Staff were friendly, service was amazing and all the meals were delish. Well done Rod's tavern: I hope to be in the area again and return.
