SEASIDE HEIGHTS: we enjoyed hanging out at the Aztec Bar and leashed-dogs are allowed at their outdoor deck. Since Aztec is located right on the corner, you can easily get there without being on the boardwalk too long. It is a boardwalk party bar that was featured on the Jersey Shore TV show. Like Snooki, Brie always says "the party's here!" We met a family from Texas enjoying drinks and amazing views of the Ferris wheel. A great place to people watch, but we recommend taking your pup during less busy times when it's not as crazy.

Fast & friendly service, decent prices, good music to dance to (at least on the Saturday night I went)... nothing to complain about at all, will definitely come back next time I'm in seaside.

This is a bar that the jersey shore cast would frequently visit so my friend and I had to stop here. The inside is slightly dated, but the bartenders were kind and the Drinks were just fine! no food, good for big crowds because of the open dance floor.

I would give 0 stars. From Ohio. Gave my legit ID. Security just kept yelling at us and tried to say it's fake. Legit 21. A real ID and security can't tell... How can you even be a security guard? Beefed up security guards cussing out young smaller women and continued to cuss at us when we left. What is wrong with them? Are they drunk, or on something else? They were really mad

I wouldn't bother trying to grab a drink here, plenty of other places on the boardwalk that won't give you a hard time! I went to seaside for my 24th birthday, and I was denied a drink because I didn't have TWO forms of ID... TWO?! Hardly anyone will travel with two forms of ID that has your photo on it - to a bar of all places. The man working told me he couldn't serve me because I didn't have a passport or anything else to go ALONG WITH my ID!! Ridiculous. & He wasn't too nice about it either. It was if he was trying to play a joke. Everywhere else won't demand 2 forms of ID & they're friendly.

This is a classic seaside hotel, that I have stayed at three different times. They have done some painting and renovations to tidy the facility up, that do look nice. The rates are reasonable for the location, and I think some of the other reviewers maybe didn't take all that into consideration. It's safe, the staff are friendly, the beds are comfortable, and the water is hot. You spend maybe 8 hours in the room and you are right on the boardwalk which is a great feature! My friends and I will be back for our future get aways! Thank you Aztec for another great trip!
Terrible place. It needs to be renovated and started from scratch. They play loud music to all hours of night and the bartenders are rude.

This place was a complete dumpster fire. I booked it through booking.com and my stay was non-refundable. Well needless to say I will never book through them again. The hotel was DISGUSTING. Dirty rooms - the door handle was ripped off exposing screws and the pool was beyond gross with back mold, cigarette butts and refuse scattered about. Look at the photos. Ugh. We left after and hour and called our money a loss and paid $200 to stay an hour away but it was worth not staying at this horrible place.
