I highly recommend Hemingways it's good food and great music
What a great place to celebrate my best friend's birthday and enjoy a Halloween dance party on the same weekend. Super fun! The food and drinks we had were delicious and the service was so nice and friendly. We're from out of town but would love to return. Are you having a New Year's Eve party?

This place is a meat market! If you are looking to hook up, I'd say it's the right place for you.
The music base was extremely loud that your head was rattling on the dance floor!
The bartenders were great. They were super busy but very nice and made good drinks.
The staff overall was great, including the bouncers.

Overall the experience was great. Second time back here, and it’s been good both times. But the killer is the short rib grilled cheese, one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while, and actually reasonably priced at $20. That dish alone earned the 5 stars, but most of the other food we had (pretzel bites, pizza) was also good.
Minor ding on service for the food coming out real slow.

lol super late but i had the best experience here, dunno why everyone else seems to disagree ? to start, the food was GENUINELY SO GOOD like i ate a whole rack of lamb and then some. cleared my plate and basically everyone cleared theirs, (one of my friends ordered two whole pizzas for herself, polished them off, contemplated ordering another one before deciding not to solely bc she thought it would cost too much) and then ofc we had to get dessert. paul is literally the funniest guy ever and talking to everyone who worked there just solidified our whole experience. the banter between all of the employees is just something u come to appreciate bc everyone who works there genuinely enjoys their job! got invited to play pool w paul and one of the servers after and we ended up staying like 3-4 hours in total, one of the more spontaneous decisions of my life to visit this restaurant bc we weren’t going to go in the first place, luckily they were open and able to seat us but definitely one of the best ❤️ i will be talking about hemingway’s for the rest of my life and then into the grave where i will still be speaking about it. paul if u see this we love u

Hemingway's Café in Seaside Heights, NJ, is a true gem along the Jersey Shore. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant beautifully blends a casual seaside vibe with a touch of sophistication, making it perfect for any occasion.
The menu at Hemingway's Café is both diverse and enticing, offering something for every palate. Seafood lovers will be thrilled with the fresh, expertly prepared dishes, from succulent lobster tails to perfectly seared scallops. The sushi selection is also a standout, showcasing the chefs' skill and attention to detail. For those who prefer land-based options, the steaks are cooked to perfection, and the pasta dishes are rich and flavorful.
One of the highlights of dining at Hemingway's is the exceptional service. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations or accommodate special requests. Their friendly demeanor adds to the overall welcoming ambiance of the restaurant.
The drinks menu is equally impressive, featuring a wide range of cocktails, wines, and craft beers. Whether you're in the mood for a classic cocktail or something more adventurous, the bartenders at Hemingway's have you covered.
The restaurant's location is another major plus. Situated in Seaside Heights, Hemingway's Café offers diners stunning views of the ocean, especially from the outdoor seating area. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while taking in the beauty of the Jersey Shore.

If I could put 0 stars I would. Terrible experience. First of all, the atmosphere is very depressing, biggest red flag was that they have carpets where you dine. This was the worst food I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant in the Jersey Shore and I was born and raised here. Every dish had absolutely no flavor- to name a few chicken parm, pizza, cheesesteak. If you cannot make a good pizza or cheesesteak you should not be in business at the shore. The food was clearly all frozen food. Our server was okay, seemed like he wanted to run away every time he came to the table. Apps took forever, entrees did not come out together, server said the pizzas would take an extra 20 minutes to come out. The prices they charged for this mediocre food is insane. And to top it all off, one of the workers did not wash his hands after using the urinal. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

4 of us decided to try Hemmingways for dinner. As we entered we were told that there was a 10.00 cover charge because a band( Jersey Sound) was playing. We said that we were there for dinner not for the band but the person at the door said it didn’t matter. We should have left but we decided to stay and pay the cover because the band was playing and they sounded good. We ordered two appetizers , one salad, two grilled chicken sandwiches, two burgers and a couple of drinks each. The food was ok but nothing exceptional. The tab for dinner was around 180.00. With the 3 percent for using debit cards and the tip came to about 220.00 plus the 40 bucks for the cover totaling 260.00. I realize that they have to cover the band cost but the least they could do is deduct the cover charge from the tab if you eat there. There are plenty of other bars/ restaurants in Seaside that have music and don’t have cover charges. We will not be going back.

Went on a Monday night for their oldies duet. They started 30 min late, but a nice repertoire. The regulars took a lot of place and made sure their presence wouldn’t be unnoticed. Overall an ok experience for a SH’ evening.
