I went to Steaks Unlimited last night (11/30/24) now I’ve been going to Steaks Unlimited for 17 years. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE their Cheesesteak Sandwiches. THE BEST!! I always get a Seaside Tony but this one that I ordered on the above date Was HORRIBLE!!! The pocket bread was different smaller/thinner not the usual bread and the Steak was DRY as DRY can be and it had NO FLAVOR whatsoever. The cheeseballs that were in my sandwich were ‘burnt’, I was pretty much choking on them! I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! I couldn’t believe what I was eating. Shock, pure disbelief! My son’s cheesesteak was also extremely DRY!! And I know that they used to put some kind of special ‘seasoning’ on the steak while cooking them and that wasn’t there either!?! And our order of cheese balls were extremely ‘overcooked’. I WAS SO UNHAPPY and VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED and SO was my Son. Will rethink next time and maybe try the other Steak place across the street? I’ve NEVER EVER had such a bad experience from there EVER, 17 years!! I’m still in SHOCK!! The food was definitely NOT up to it’s QUALITY standards at all!!

So after 8 years of coming with my husband to seaside on the off season we FINALLY got a chance to try the food here. I have gotta say it was worth it! The men who were working were wonderful and got our food to us very fast and the place smelled very clean. For the food we ordered we didnt pay much more than we would have at home. It was definitely worth going!!!

Used to be good; I used to go here all the time, not anymore! Now they changed their staple cheesteak. My husband and I both ordered the cheesteak with cheeseballs added on it and everything changed. They changed the bread to a large bagel, and believe me it doesn't taste as good. They are being stingy with the meat, not as much green peppers, mushrooms, or onions. And the cheesesteak was honestly mostly canned jalepeno, so I was basically eating cheap sour jalepeno with bagel dough. Just because you use an extra large bagel, doesn't mean the customer will be fooled into thinking it's bigger, cause it's not and the quality is terrible! Will no longer be going here.

Omg the seaside tony with the cheese balls on it. The girl who works every night is sooo sweet love her! I drive 2 1/2 hours from north jersey sometimes just to come back grab a steak and sit by the ocean for an hour or two!

Best cheesesteak in Jersey! Love the bread and I always get a side of cheeseballs. Been coming here over 20 years (since the high school & 20something party days - till now with the kids!) The quality is always consistent. Staff is always friendly too....even during the wild partying days!

This place is a landmark they invented the cheesesteak in that bun type bread with the cheese balls. But I found out they don't make the cheese balls fresh. They get a specific processed brand from restaurant depot. But it's Definitely something to try once.
