The Ocean View Restaurant

I love this place. Hidden Gem towards the end of the boardwalk! The food is always amazing and never disappoints. We had Steak Bites. Well seasoned food and the dipping sauces was spectacular! Tom at the bar is awesome with the customer service. The whole bar tending staff was attentive and took care of each customer like they were truly special. The energy in this place is upbeat and refreshing. This is our SEASIDE get away spot. Well done!

Food is good, nice ambiance. Got the cheesesteak egg rolls, lobster bisque and lobster roll. Definitely recommend this place over other spots on the boardwalk.

10 stars! The private party (reception to celebrate my daughter’s upcoming wedding) we had in the restaurant’s Beach Area was AMAZING! Casey (the event coordinator) and our servers Ella and Julia were the best! We had a family party for approximately 35 adults and 13 children under 10 and were offered the blue couch area or the beach area. We picked the beach area and it was great, especially for the kids! While we had free access to the band area and dance floor, our beach area was private. We could hear the band and dance on the sand, and there were many picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, and even corn hole. We were able to set up decorations and even lighting. We chose the open bar (beer, wine, sangria) for 4 hours and the choice of 4 passed horse devours for 2 hours (loved the spring rolls, mini cheeseburgers, Mac n cheese bites, and chicken fingers). Food and drink were plentiful!!! As I said - the experience was absolutely amazing. My family had such a great time we are thinking of doing this every year!

Food was average, nothing outstanding, but okay. They had live music that was very loud to the point that I could not talk with the person I was with. The ban was good, but they needed to turn it down a bit.

Took my friends real id because they insisted it was fake. Would not give it back or even call the police for her id back. Never going to this place again and it is not worth your money! It sucks anyways there are so many better options around. DO NOT GO HERE

Place was packed, loud, service was sloooow, had to send back two of our three dinners. took over an hour after we sat just to get our drinks. All we wanted was a nice Mother's Day diner for a brand new mom, a grandma, and great grandma. Theu were very disappionted.

Possibly the worst service we've ever had, and we eat out a lot. We were seated immediately and then it was 15 minutes before we saw our server. We put our order in and the next time we saw her was 45 minutes later, when she asked if we had gotten our food. We hadn't. It didn't occur to her that the whole time she hadn't seen us, we also had nothing left to drink. Expecting we wouldn't see her again, I asked for a pitcher of water. It never came. I asked the guy who brought our food 15 minutes later for water. He also didn't bring it. I had to go up to the bar and ask for water. Another 15 minutes later, when we were done, she came and asked if we needed anything else, oblivious to the fact that she hadn't done the one thing we actually asked of her. Our server at a different restaurant last night got a 60% tip. Just on principle I couldn't give this server here more than 15%, the lowest I've ever given. She did absolutely nothing to earn even that much. Nice views of the ocean. We won't be back.

Stopped by for lunch. They have no host person to meet you when you arrive stood around for 10min waiting to be seated. I finally just sat at the bar. After 20 minutes of sitting at the bar and being ignored by the bartender, I left. The place wasn't even that busy. I don't understand how this place can make any money. End up walk down to the Sawmill for a slice of pizza. The Sawmill was packed but was greeted as soon as I sat down at bar.

I am reviewing poorly simply because of disappointment as we didn’t even get to try your food.

My friends and I booked a reservation for brunch 3 weeks ago because your website showed that you offer brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm. The restaurant actually wasn’t open until 11am, I drove 45 minutes to get there.

The only person that was at the restaurant at 11am when we arrived was the bartender that had no idea anyone even booked a reservation and then she said that you do not offer brunch on Saturdays.

It was a tremendous disappointment to be misled that there was brunch available, to have booked a reservation and no one even knew there was a reservation as there were no servers on staff and then to have to figure out a new plan when we scheduled this weeks ago.

To management, UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE & your business hours so you do not mislead potential customers to your dining establishment.

Horrible service and roof was leaking… couldn’t stand to sit and not get attended as a white family can in and they were sesteo after my boyfriend and I. They got to put their drinks in and we yet had to see a waiter to tell them we moved a table over due to the roof leaking at every booth I kept trying to sit at.

The waitress working the morning of Jan 5th, 2025 was very unprofessional and rude to my friend who was dining there. They also were out of half of their menu which caused people in our party to be disappointed.

We were a party of 16 for 11am brunch on a Sunday. They open at 10. We made and confirmed our reservation 3 days prior. When we arrived there was one entire employee working, who explained to us that she had been working there for a whole two days. The manager had to run out for bacon and milk. A nice girl, but completely unfamiliar with the menu and should not have been left alone when they were aware that a large party was coming in. Many of the menu items we wanted weren't available, and it took 40 minutes just to get a drink. Half our party wasn't even asked if they wanted to order a drink. After 45 minutes and also never being asked if we'd like to put food in, we paid the bill for the drinks we did receive and left. There were literally zero other patrons in the whole place and there really is no excuse for their lack of preparedness and their total disregard for the situation. What a shame that a beautiful restaurant and location has such terrible service. Can't comment on the food since we never had a chance to try it. Save your time and your money and go somewhere else.

My server was excellent! It was a very slow night around 4 people in the restaurant. The appetizers were ok, but the entree was hot on the top and cold on the bottom. I had the seafood manicotti. And I was so disappointed because I wanted to try this so bad. And the lobster was chewy. But my waitress was fantastic!
