The Ocean View Restaurant

Stopped by for lunch. They have no host person to meet you when you arrive stood around for 10min waiting to be seated. I finally just sat at the bar. After 20 minutes of sitting at the bar and being ignored by the bartender, I left. The place wasn't even that busy. I don't understand how this place can make any money. End up walk down to the Sawmill for a slice of pizza. The Sawmill was packed but was greeted as soon as I sat down at bar.

I am reviewing poorly simply because of disappointment as we didn’t even get to try your food.

My friends and I booked a reservation for brunch 3 weeks ago because your website showed that you offer brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm. The restaurant actually wasn’t open until 11am, I drove 45 minutes to get there.

The only person that was at the restaurant at 11am when we arrived was the bartender that had no idea anyone even booked a reservation and then she said that you do not offer brunch on Saturdays.

It was a tremendous disappointment to be misled that there was brunch available, to have booked a reservation and no one even knew there was a reservation as there were no servers on staff and then to have to figure out a new plan when we scheduled this weeks ago.

To management, UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE & your business hours so you do not mislead potential customers to your dining establishment.

Horrible service and roof was leaking… couldn’t stand to sit and not get attended as a white family can in and they were sesteo after my boyfriend and I. They got to put their drinks in and we yet had to see a waiter to tell them we moved a table over due to the roof leaking at every booth I kept trying to sit at.

The waitress working the morning of Jan 5th, 2025 was very unprofessional and rude to my friend who was dining there. They also were out of half of their menu which caused people in our party to be disappointed.

We were a party of 16 for 11am brunch on a Sunday. They open at 10. We made and confirmed our reservation 3 days prior. When we arrived there was one entire employee working, who explained to us that she had been working there for a whole two days. The manager had to run out for bacon and milk. A nice girl, but completely unfamiliar with the menu and should not have been left alone when they were aware that a large party was coming in. Many of the menu items we wanted weren't available, and it took 40 minutes just to get a drink. Half our party wasn't even asked if they wanted to order a drink. After 45 minutes and also never being asked if we'd like to put food in, we paid the bill for the drinks we did receive and left. There were literally zero other patrons in the whole place and there really is no excuse for their lack of preparedness and their total disregard for the situation. What a shame that a beautiful restaurant and location has such terrible service. Can't comment on the food since we never had a chance to try it. Save your time and your money and go somewhere else.

We had our daughters Sweet 16 party here. While the party end was great due to the Dj and the set up done myself and people We hired. The service on their end was horrible. The food was not correct. No stations were provided. The food was cold. Very cold. We have called several times with no response from anyone.

Food was way over price, and the quality of the food was bad, preparation was very bad. Do not recommend eatting here!!!

This place is declining quickly!..we used to like dining here but not anymore. The food is cold and has no flavor and the drinks have no liquor in them completely watered down or filled with sugar syrup. Management clearly doesn't care all of the staff just stands around talking to each other. Food and drinks are waaaayyyy better at the Casino Pier!!!

Had the pizza here and it had NO taste whatsoever. None. It looked good through the glass. But it was terrible. It was probably one of the worst pizzas I've ever had and it was a plain pie. Terrible service from the hostess to the waitress as well.
Also the soda was disgusting as well.

First time there, although we have been at Seaside Heights visiting for many years. My husband and will definitely be back again! Service from Brianna W. Was awesome! She certainly should be given kudos for her presence, personality, suggestions, and overall remarks about the place itself.

I mean seaside heights deserves a second look . There are remnants of the seaside heights from my high school days . I'm 68 . I hated the place back then . Lots of girls but still not worth the seedy atmosphere . Things are changing . Ocean view is a great place . Not sure if Seaside Heights makes the full transition but if it does I'm sure Ocean View Wil continue to be a mainstay .

I had my birthday here tonight !! We had such a great time ! We were a party of about 15-20 and had 2 couches reserved ! Service was on point - Cassie and Danielle were top notch to make sure everything was perfect ! Band and DJ were awesome - definitely would do this again !

I don’t even know where to start. This place is literally my favorite place down here. I am so comfortable and the place is classy, the food is fantastic, the food is even better, and the music makes you want to stay all night. Tom was my bartender and he is amazing! This restaurant is the best!

We stopped by The Ocean View during the last week of August, and it was a great choice! We got seated right away and lucked out with a table that had an awesome view of the ocean.

We tried the flounder sandwich with onion rings, a burger with onion rings, and a watermelon feta salad. Everything was super tasty! The food hit the spot, and those onion rings were perfectly crispy. The watermelon feta salad was really refreshing too.

The service was quick and friendly, and with that view, it made for a really enjoyable meal. Definitely worth a visit!
