Sat outside in a tent with a group of 6... took a while for someone to come around to take our drink orders. Almost 15 minutes before we saw a waiter/waitress. Just a product of being overworked and understaffed which isn't the wait staff's fault. Waitress was pleasant. Food was good. Drinks were underwhelming. Just not sure if it's worth another trip.

Definitely won't be back to this restaurant. We called the restaurant & made a reservation but when we got there the host told us she had nothing for us. Once we finally sat down & got our food everything was over cooked. We had one steak sent back & told them we didn't want it but we still got sent another one & they proceed to charge us for the steak. Then the crack head manager came over to speak to us & he was extremely rude & very ignorant. Stay away from this place!!! Would not recommend to anyone.

I've gone twice now hoping it might be good, had two bad experience. First of all the live music is awful. Wayyyy too loud, we were screaming at people in our party two seats down. Second of all, when being sat, the man leading us said "it's always the same s**** for reasons unknown to me. Food was okay, but the service and atmosphere was terrible. The two stars is for the food alone, but I'll never go back.

We read a wide variety of reviews, good and bad, decided to believe the good. Wrong, wrong, so wrong. My friend had a special pasta dish, price unknown, asked, but not known. It was a whopping $39. I had chicken Marsala. Neither one was good. Pasta was lacking flavor and so was mine. Drinks were fair, not really good. But the most disturbing part was the political signs, including dollar bills with the past president's picture. I don't like politics mixed with dinner.

There is an unmistakable hierarchy that applies to how customers are treated here. It is very much the type of place where if you "know the owner" you are treated very differently than if you are only an occasionally customer. Priority of seating is for the 'regulars' and everyone else can wait, and you can wait as long as it takes, even if their idea of "15-20 minutes" is actually and hour and 20 minutes. The manner of how management addresses this particular element of how this restaurant is run is without question, "If you don't like it, too fuckin' bad." They really don't care because they are riding their popularity because they obviously have enough repeat business form 'regulars'. I overheard the hostess repeat the phrase "My husband is the Owner" at least three times when talking to people who wanted to know why their table was not ready long after the time of their reservation as if that would offer some for, of consolation for the long wait. At one point when a customer was waiting and apparently asked when he would be seated and offered his opinion she answered "Well we make a lot of money so......" that said it all. If you love your regulars and they love you, they will understand that when you need the table back, you can tell them that you need the table back because you have to seat others who are waiting. It's really not that difficult. The regulars love the scene so much that the won't leave so they will gladly go continue to drink at the bar.

Honestly the food was great. Our apps came out quick as did the rest of our food. I would give it five stars if the staff didn't seem absolutely miserable the entire time. Any time we asked for water or anything of the nature we were answered with a quick and cold "yes". Our waitress was nice but didn't do much more than just take our order (we only saw her maybe 3 times). If you're looking for good food and subpar service , this is the place to go lol

Fantastic experience from the service to the food. This place was a great find! Looking forward to our next trip!

Overpriced for the amount of food that you get. They need less tables in the dining room because you're literally on top of each other and it quite noisy.

Went to Ebby's for my cousin's birthday dinner. Would give 0 stars if I could. They accepted a reservation day of which was great but the management here is awful and I would never recommend this establishment for any other guest. Upon sitting down, we were treated as though we were second class guests, which I hate to say, felt as though it was due to us being individuals of a darker skin complexion. The manager was completely dismissive of our concerns and failed to address anything we requested that needed to be corrected. The manager seemed to be clearly on drugs and appeared to be "coked out" and unable to respond to our concerns at all and instead mocked us making fun of my family for raising their concerns. He was erratic and not acting sensibly or even professional. He even smoked cigs in the area they serve food (see attached photo). Do not go to this establishment unless you wish to receive terrible service.

Zero stars if I could. The manager was super aggressive and rude to my family (I would guess he was on drugs) and chain smoking in the dining area. See photo. He is holding a cigarette in his hand and talking about how stupid my family was.

We've been coming to Ebby's for years. Our family has had a second residence in Seaside Park since 1999, and so, we've seen Ebby's have two owners, and go from a small deli/trattoria operation to a full service restaurant. It is truly amazing how much Ebby's has transformed since we began going all those years ago! The best part about Ebby's is the food. Last night, for example, we were a large party of 8 with a reservation at 5pm, and we ordered several appetizers and entrees, and everything was delicious. I think that is the secret to Ebby's - come early, as it gets hectic during the evenings, especially on the weekends in the summer! Locals know this is a great spot for food! For appetizers, I recommend the rice balls (served with a generous glob of ricotta) and the crispy mozzarella - kind of their own spin on mozzarella in corrozza. The best entrees for me are the garlic pesto grilled shrimp and garlic vinegar chicken. Family favorites are the double pork chops and chicken radiatore pasta. They also boast several dinner specials. I appreciate that the menu is on the smaller side so they can quality control their dishes. This place gets busy, so reservations are highly recommended!

Updating my review because I've had the opportunity to have a dinner inside with friends for a birthday and since we all had to pick our own dishes this time around Instead of get served family style for a baby shower, I found out that the food is not good. No one at our table enjoyed anything and the poor guy whose birthday it was kept apologizing for it. I was so disappointed. We all kept looking around hoping that at least one person from our table liked their food but all we heard were complaints. The other issue is that They USED to let you sit at the bar outside and order lunch which was my jam but apparently they no longer let you have food out there which is the only time you would get halfway decent food. The shrimp salad and italian sub on the lunch menu are actually pretty good but I dont want to sit inside in the dark on a beautiful day....
