We are visiting from Texas for a month, and us Texans love our Mexican food and can be quiet picky with our tacos. After being here in Seaside for almost 3 weeks, I was getting the hankering for tacos as we eat Mexican food at least once a week if not more back home. But this night we just left the Columbus Day festival late and didn’t get a pizza so we thought well let’s walk around and get a slice. We found this little gem a on our walk and let’s just say it was a mutual automatic decision to divert previous pizza mission and go in. We ordered the carne asada tacos, chicken tacos and the CAMARONES ALA MEXICANA. The rice and beans were good and not dry and their salsa is really good and fresh. The tacos had just the right garnish and meat and flavor. Husband said the shrimp dish was awesome and well flavored. Next time I’ll try the birria tacos or burrito and maybe some CHILAQUILES for breakfast. Atmosphere was clean and quiet as we came in an hour before they closed so that’s to be expected. No photos because we started in as soon as it hit the table. But it matches what the menus shows online.

My friends and I had gone to a place down the street initially and the first places had a very scary mean vibe so we went walking further down the street to find something when we came across this place. In our party one person had a gluten allergy and one had a shellfish and nut allergy. The staff here accommodated all of us perfectly and with a legitimately friendly atmosphere. And then the food came out and oh my dear lord it was sooooooo good!!!!!! I got the birria burrito, highly recommend to anyone who likes food or sunshine or rainbows or having a good time. Also I got a large lemonade which came in a little pitcher and was so delicious that like three more people immediately ordered the same thing. Each time a new drink came over we all gave a little cheer and it felt like the waiter was just as excited as we were which was the best feeling in the world. If I could give this place ten stars I would. I love you guys so much <3

The BEST tacos in town! The best tacos I’ve ever had, actually. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, all the time. The price is very affordable. I love everything about this restaurant! Everyone should eat here!! Highly recommend!!

Food was awesome! They let us eat outside with our dog and were very nice. 10/10 recommend. If ordering take out keep in mind hot food in closed containers can make food soggy. Try to eat it right away! La agua de Jamaica was on point and the lemonade was very satisfying.

The service was fantastic. The food was terrible. The meat (tacos) had no flavoring. The soft taco shell was soggy. The tiramisu was so soggy it literally had liquid running out of it. We spent $120, and it was a really big let down.

Best food in seaside! Pozole is perfect, we ordered the huarache as a side and it was so fresh and delicious. Also the jamaica is perfectly refreshing and not too sweet. We love seaside but sometimes good food is hard to find. So glad Montes cafe is here!!
Went there for breakfast and the food was excellent. Even the kids enjoyed it! My only complaint is that I was charged an additional fee for chosing 2 different salsas for the Huevos Rancheros. We were not informed of the added fee prior to ordering. Other than that, everything else was great.
