Visiting from Atlanta and my experience was horrible. 30min before closing I ordered some food thinking it will get cooked properly. But they rushed it and gave me a completely raw burger. They could’ve said that they were closing and didn’t want to take anymore orders. But I could’ve got catastrophically sick! I’m very disappointed and mad I couldn’t get my money back cause they were already gone. But this was my burger after I bit into it 🤮👎🏽. You can’t justify this either it’s beyond unacceptable.

Out of towner wanting to try something new terrible experience. Came in early when they opened I got so much hospitality I was like I love this place it’s great so much that I came back the same day later that evening not knowing they were closing at 4 I mean I am a out of towner and before I ordered u could have politely said we close in 20 minutes but he didn’t rushed our food rushed us out with a attitude and cooked my food raw in the process trying to hurry and leave! Were was that hospitality from earlier that made me come back!! I could have gotten sick !! Do not go here well at least the last hour there open

Always delicious. Every time I’m in town, this is my go to for breakfast. I order the same thing every time but there have a huge, solid menu. Jersey is the best place in the world for bagels. Come for me if you disagree.

As someone who has lived in this town for decades, I can say I have yet to find consistently better bagels elsewhere. I travel extensively and have tried bagels all over. I don't see anything better in the surrounding areas of NY that people tend to tout.
Reading the comments here and seeing a lot of the gripes are due to pricing. Food isn't cheap. I wish more places would just continue to increase prices to keep the quality where it always was instead of cheapening out lowering the quality. So kudos to the places like this that keep the quality up.

Went in today and made my usual order. Prices have gone up but there was barely an cream cheese on my bagels. That was disappointing when I came home. I noticed it was a new female employee she was very nice but needs to keep the standards we are used to if we are paying more and not getting the same quality of product.

I got there every sunday “only for bagels” because I haven’t had much positive experience with other foods. The women at the checkout counter have been very friendly so far but the guys taking orders always give this rude and “I don’t need your business” vibe. That’s sadly the case with most shops which are established and been around long enough. Today, I was rushing to catch the bus and asked the guy if I could pay first as I was waiting for my bagel and cream cheese and egg and cheese to arrive. He said a flat “NO” at first I thought he was joking but apparently the rules here are very “Strict”. I bet you won’t get more of my business buddy! I got to NYC every single day and have access to better bagels for sure!!! Poor state of affairs… no wonder the google rating is poor for this place… I was planning to get a coffee but hell no! they won’t get another dime from me…

Delicious.....but highway robbery!!!
This place has been a favorite for years...the best tasting bagels. Yet the prices have been high jacked ASTRONOMICALLY and the portions made smaller....NOT FAIR at all.
$ 2.40 for coffee..that's fair...
$ 5.75 for a raising bagel with strawberry cream cheese.. kind of high...no? But
$12.75 for a lox and cream cheese bagel...plus an additional charge for the tomatoes, onions, .. and whatever else they decide to charge.. is shameful..
And the small, very thin piece of salmon as sooo little thst it was hard to taste.
I will not be coming back and will WARN ALL MY FRIENDS about it.
It's actually more expensive than having a lot bagel in NYC!!!!!

My second time here and one of the employees making sandwiches/bagels, short Hispanic guy, has a really bad attitude, it seems the cashier knows about the employee attitude issues. He should not be working with customers! Only because I requested to toast my bagel, but I didn’t know I had to requested it before, I was never asked by the employee neither!
Too long waiting with two customers ordering including myself! Is ridiculous!
