We came in with a party of 9. Tried to call yelwice, but no one answered The Hostess met us with attitude because we didnt call in. We were told that it would be an hour and a half wait. After that time we asked about our table and told they were checking on it, and we watched as they seated a table of 12. We asked again and they told us that it would be 50 more min because we didn't tell them we were there.

after hearing people speak about how great k pots were and seeing videos all over my daughter wanted to try it. the other day I saw that hazlet NJ on RT 35 was open so for lunch today i took my son who is 5, my daughter 9, and myself. it was a HUGE WASTE OF 75 DOLLARS. so you have to pick either from the korean BBQ or the hot pot. so my son and I wanted BBQ my daughter wanted both...the server told me if she wanted the soup we ALL had to have the soup which is an extra 5 dollar charge PER PERSON. if it was ONE big bowl of ramen to share id understand but they brought 3 individual bowls like ordering soup from somewhere else, so they basically force everyone at the table to add it if only 1 person wants it so that went to waste. shortly after starting to eat her meal my daughters stomach started bothering her weird... but anyway the food was already cooked so i asked the server if i could have a box to take the food home that we ordered and made, to eat home because my daughter didnt feel well. we didnt over order at all there was 3 of us we ordered a plate of garlic chicken, a plate of garlic shrimp, 1 plate of pork belly which is literally 2 slicices, and 1 plate of beef and a few veggies. if you have been here you know the plates are SMALL. so she said she couldnt give us a box but would have to charge us 13.99 a lb for the food to go...so my question is, WHAT DID I SPEND 75 DOLLARS ON? I didnt order more and cook it to try and take home just my first original order. also the food was bland no sauces or seasoning for the bbq they don't explain anything to you very well so if you've never done it you have no idea how long to cook the vegetables and everything else like potatoes and corn! they would take forever to cook. so they were hard and raw still after almost 35 minutes. this place is a ripoff and kind of a scam. when you go to dinner does EVERYONE HAVE TO ORDER SOUP AND BE CHARGED? NO so the manager came over and being my daughter wasnt feeling well he " only charged me 5 dollars" for food items already paid for. I dont recommend it especially if you have kids. and dont want to be forced to pay for things you don't want, oh and the Ramen we were forced to pay for that my daughter just wanted we weren't allowed to take that home either! its mind boggling. I understand at a buffet people fill plates and dont eat and then want to take mounds of food home but this was literally less than a pint of food for 75 dollars and that's their " lunch" price. I give the place a few months before they close. 0 out of 20 stars!

The service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious as always. Our server Leontta (sp?) was great and checked on is often to make sure we had what we needed. I always have a great experience when I eat here.

Amazing experience at KPot! We loved the atmosphere and the food was great. I recommend trying the Beef Bulgogi. What really made night was our server Emily N. She took the time to engage with us and truly made the night more enjoyable. I highly recommend asking to be sat in Emily N’s section!

This is a review of the Harrisburg, PA Location I am still boiling mad. Boiling more than my hot pot was. And it's a shame because my food was delicious. But I will never come back. First of all, we are a hot pot family. Have dined in many varieties of hot pot restaurants and love them. Seeing one open up in Harrisburg, PA was very exciting for us. We came with our party of 8. Of course we opted for both the hot pot and the BBQ. Our server's name was Dory. She was friendly enough but not the most attentive as our plates were not usually cleared by her and we had to ask her for more water. This didn't bother me overall because there were other team members that were very attentive. As far as the dining experience went, we didn't love it. The tablet ordering system seems fun in theory but the tablet had to be reset multiple times, and often we didn't get items we ordered. And again, there were 8 of us so we were confused with what we ordered as we passed the thing around. The food was plentiful and good. I loved the sauces and the desserts and the appetizers. So food wise, we were very satisfied. This is where I turned what might have been a 3.5-4 star experience right down to a 1. Dory brought us the check and said to us that there is a "mandatory tip of 18%" She said it like this "For parties of 6 or more there is a mandatory 18% tip. It's not on here but you can put it on your card or give me cash or venmo. I prefer the latter, You can give me more than 18% too". That immediately turned us off. We are good tippers but to ask this way really rubbed me wrong. With the service experience we had we were tempted to tip less than 18% but common decency led us to leave an 18% cash tip. We paid the bill with a card. I laid the tip on the tablet. When we left she lingered and was looking quickly at the table and then looked at her credit card machine and then looked at us and literally followed us out the door. Then she says to me "Excuse me, I am sorry, but did you tip me?" I said "UM, yeah its on the table and I am finding it really odd that you're asking me this" She did not respond as she went running to get her tip. I was so mad I wish I could have thought faster to run ahead of her and grab up some of that tip. We work hard for our money and she definitely didn't earn what we gave her. I am so angry with how she was. Who does that? Chases a customer down for a tip! She did say at one point, "Come see me again. My name is Dory, like the fish". I can tell you one thing for sure. I will NEVER come here again as long as Dory is working. And I will do everything I can to make sure others know this too. She does not belong in the service industry.

Hi, I'm writing regarding a disappointing experience at the KPOT location in Kearny: 230-240 Passaic Ave Kearny, NJ, 7032 We arrived at 6:30 PM and were seated, but completely ignored until 7 PM - by then, it was too late to order a happy hour drink. I spoke with a manager who said there was nothing he could do because the system had already shut down. We waited 45 minutes just for rice, while the rest of our food sat untouched. The restaurant was not even busy. I called the waitress over twice, but we were ignored again. Half our meal was eaten without water or drinks, and by that point, my boyfriend and I were both disappointed. We had really been looking forward to dinner. Unfortunately, this visit completely changed our perception of KPOT. We've had great experiences in the past, but this one was enough to make us not want to return. When it came time to pay, the staff seemed confused about our table and attempted to charge us for hotpot soup we never received. My boyfriend had to correct them. When we were handed the tablet to leave feedback, the manager quickly closed the review screen before we could write anything. Management was aware we were unhappy and made no effort to address the situation. We paid full price for a terrible experience, and I wasn't even going to write reviews ( google / yelp / social media ) until I realized how blatantly we were being IGNORED. This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a negative review, which speaks to how disappointing this experience was. I truly hope someone from corporate can acknowledge what happened and help make it right. Thank you!

This all-you-can-eat, hands-on restaurant is part of a family friendly chain built around two concepts: hot pot and BBQ. For hot pot, a bowl of simmering broth is set on a hot plate built into the table. Diners can order from a large selection of meat, seafood, vegetables, and noodles and cook them in the broth. For BBQ there is a gas grill also built into the table. Meat, seafood, and vegetables are available to be cooked that way. There is a self-serve bar of many different kinds of sauces. Adults pay a flat price of $30.99 with reduced prices for children. We had BBQ & found it to be quite good with the meats deliciously marinated. Hot pot is the better choice for vegetarians because the BBQ vegetable selection is limited. There are two vegetarian broths available. Avoid the potatoes and sweet potatoes if you are having BBQ. They cannot be adequately cooked by that method. The dining room is cheerful and the service is attentive and efficient. Loud KPop fills the space. At first I found the music annoying, but once the food arrived I didn’t care. The food arrives quickly. One caveat: I use a walker and cannot get in and our of booth seating. It was difficult to accommodate me, but, with a waiter, we managed.

Fantastic place!! Great food and service. Lots of choice of food ( meat, fish, veg). If you like hot-pots and bbqs - you’ll love this.

I was craving some AYCE bbq one day and remembered that there was a K-Pot in JC. I’m always down for hot pot, so this was perfect. Plus, I had been the to location in New Brunswick and really enjoyed it. Unfortunate, the quality is not consistent. We arrived at around 3 pm on a Sunday and it was pretty packed at that time but thankfully, the tables are far enough away from each other. We gave them our number to text us when a table was avail, which was about 5 minutes. I’ll start off by saying service was good. Our server was super attentive and efficient. As soon as we sat down, we placed an order for a few items. We went to get our sauces, came back, and some food was already there. But speaking of sauces, the selection is a bit lackluster. It’s not as good as most AYCE hot places I’ve been to. Masks are required at the sauce station but I still feel some type of way with anything self-serve during Covid. Hopefully, it was fine. Hot pot is pretty standard. I had the tomato broth which was okay. We got the typical items of fatty beef, shrimp, fish, fish balls, etc. We also got crab and the first round of it was nice and meaty/firm, so we ordered a second round but that time was mushy. My hot pot heater also kept auto shutting so I kept having to turn it back on every 5 minutes, which was a bit annoying. The BBQ was just not that good, which was disappointing since that was what I was looking forward to the most. It’s an extra $5 and everyone at your table has to do it (which was fine for us since it was just the two of us). The menu is very pork heavy. I think there were four different varieties of pork belly. The only thing about the BBQ I liked was the short ribs. It was surprisingly tender. But overall, everything was pretty salty. Maybe they purposely do that so that you have to chug a ton of water and end up being too waterlogged to eat. We also had some garlic shrimp which I thought was good at first but the more I ate it, the more I realized it had a bad aftertaste (one that lasted several hours…blegh). Our server did change our grate pretty often so I’ll give them that, but I feel like that’s more props to him rather than the restaurant. Bottom line - if you are looking for hot pot and don’t mind the basic/limited sauces, this is an okay option. But don’t come if you want BBQ.
