I went to Tokyo Buffet in Secaucus yesterday , it was closed and there was no sign on the door or anything. I am wondering if they will open again. This is my favorite place to eat near where I live. It is great food at a great price.

Long story short, it is good value buffet. For the price, it is great. I didnt expect much because of price. I knew about this place but was little far from where i live. I was passing by and had to try. I loved coconut shrimp. Desert was not bad. More than 4 different ice cream flavors. Food was fresh. Staff was keep refilling.

Chanced upon this place and decided to give the hibachi a try. We had the filet mignon and shrimp hibachi combo. Generous portion of fried rice and noodles (the fried rice was especially tasty!), prawns were fresh, large and succulent and the steak was a perfect medium rare (as we asked for). The chef was entertaining and interactive too.
The restaurant environment does the food a bit of a disservice- it’s a tad too dim and quiet, and the toilets feel very old.
Overall it’s a decent no frills place if you’re looking for affordable hibachi.

I felt like I was in a funeral home. There were not much of a variety of choices to take from food. I wasn’t even on my second plate and this server was already given me a check to check out. Food was nasty.Never going there again I’ll stick to the hibachi house on 440. I couldn’t believe the experience I had yesterday for $90. I feel like I ate $90 of fruit disgusting specially to be eating your food and not even your second one and you have a server already giving you a check.
I have been coming here for years had some of my best moments since the pandemic it seems like they have hired ppl who don’t understand how to make Asian food the proper way they food was hard under cooked looked old very disgusting and upset the energy isn’t the same anymore I pray they get it right again I definitely want my money back the food was horrible I used to go at least twice a week
