It seems like they are trying to be outdoorsy and high end at the same time. Our food was ok, just a little bit better than a diner. Our service was diner like, we weren't really impressed with the service.

A little high priced, but always tasty. Rustic farmhouse feel, service is good, sometimes slow, but this isn't the place you're going to go if you're in a rush anyway.

Cozy. Food is good most of the time. Too salty sometimes

Very good food, a little more interesting than typical Jersey diner breakfast menus. Usually too busy and the service suffers as a result. Loud room, needs sound deadening. Have to yell across the table to have a conversation.

I planned to go to First Watch with my 3 daughters and husband. I completed the “get in line” option online at 11:15. We arrived at 11:29. The male host told me he was just waiting on a table for us and we would be next. Three people who arrived after us with 5+ people were seated before us. They planned to squish us into a small table and put our 3 year old at the end sticking out at 12:10. It was almost an hour wait to not even give us an appropriately sized table. Never again. We wasted an hour and ended up leaving and going somewhere else.

This was our first visit to this restaurant.
The food was okay, we didn’t like the lukewarm clam chowder (it had sand in it) and our server graciously took it off the bill.
The restaurant has a nice ambiance, was very clean and we were seated quickly.
The breakfast was the best meal of the two we ordered and we would have that again. The fresh OJ had no pulp (I personally prefer some pulp) but was very fresh.
They have a take two lunch option that is a good buy. The salad was outstanding, very fresh! (I asked for lemon on the side and at first received very sad old lemons which were quickly replaced with fresh ones which were perfect)
We like the still water served in a glass pitcher to refill your glass as you wish- it’s a nice unique detail.
We will visit here again.

Parking: This is a busy small strip mall, we were able to find parking towards the back of the lot at lunchtime.

First, there was a 45-minute wait, and a family showed up. The older man with the missing teeth at the check-in desk decided to skip everyone and seat them.
Then we got to the table, and my niece ordered soft bacon. Diana (an Asian girl) told us that it didn't come out soft and was asked to change it for something else. I've never heard that you can't soft bacon. At check out, I was trying to explain to the toothless man, and he shot me down and said we don't have any. I feel they lack empathy and need some courses in customer service. It's definitely not a place I would recommend. An unfortunate experience, and I won't be back.

My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose First Watch for Washington Township (Gloucester County), our 135th town.

First Watch is a trendy chain that focuses on breakfast & brunch. It was a bit of a wait on a Sunday morning at peak time, but once we were seated, food came quickly. We each got a set of Avocado Toast which was super fresh with plenty of avocado. Our server recommended the Gingerbread Spice Donut Holes and we would too. YUM!

Town Trivia: There are six towns named "Washington" in Jersey. This was the first one we've visited on our tour of the state. It's the most populated Washington, and locals apparently refer to it as just "Township".
