My favorite is the Audie - the hoagies are a bit pricey but worth it. The seeded bread makes the difference, they use plenty of meat. I paid $11.72 for one hoagie. Service is quick as well but we ordered ahead.
I’ve been making the 40-minute drive for years just to get their ‘Old Italian,’ and it’s worth every mile. Nothing else compares! Everything is incredibly fresh, and the Sarcone’s bread is perfection. Growing up in South Philly, this is the closest thing to home I’ve found.
Pal joeys is a must stop if you are ever in the area (and if not, it’s also worth the detour). Will go on the record and say they have the best chicken cutlet sandwiches that I have ever had. Add some sharp provolone and delicious homemade broccoli rabe and you have my favorite sandwich, the chicken denine. We love the family that runs this deli!!
