Great spot with authentic Mexican food and vibes. Liquor store next door, so good for byob. Inexpensive, good, and fun.

Loved almost everything about this wonderful little Mexican oasis! Had the steak enchiladas and nearly licked my plate clean. The salsa was fresh and very tasty! Only complaint is that my old bony butt would prefer cushioned seats lol, but so good it wont deter me from coming back!

1st time going there... wasn't busy only 1 group of 4 guys who already had their food. I ordered the shrimp and scallop salad and they forgot the scallops!

Oh Lord.. So SAD because according to other reviews we were in for a treat...Where do I start???? This place is ridiculous. Dont waste your money, please... Go to La Esperanza instead... SO MUCH better, I promise....When we arrived, we were super hungry and excited to try this place since we passed by it all the timeThe entrance to the place is weird and a bit misleading. We got inside and were greeted warmly and seated quickly, awesome. The waitress (let's call her "G") was super sweet, and you could tell she was super busy. When it came time to order, that's where they started losing it. First, when seated, you get chips and salsa.. great. But on the menu in big letters, it says that you must pay extra for a reup on the chips and salsa..weird... it's like $3 to ask for more.I wanted a combo which came with an enchilada and a chalupa (which is like a huge taco), choice of meat and rice and beans.... pretty standard. I chose chicken, and she said.... oh.. the chalupas don't come with meat... wait..WHAAA?? Like... When does a chalupa not come with meat? I was confused, and she said, yeah "here" they don't come with meat. If you want meat, then it would be a Tostada.. I was so confused... she then said, "I will go ahead and make sure they put meat on it for you. ".. I thanked her.. we ordered a regular size of guacamole as an app as well.We got our food... and honey.... this was NOT IT.. first, the guacamole appetizer was literally a dollop put in a small dish.. (see the pic) it would be fine if it was a side order, but this was an appetizer! My son literally took half of it in on scoop with his chip. That was $4!! And it was clearly store bought not made fresh.. no onion, no tomatoes, barely seasoned... a big joke. Then my sis and I looked at our dishes (we ordered the same thing except she opted for beef), and we were super perplexed. What we had was tostadas with meat, lettuce , a tomato wedge, and a dollop of guacamole (same size as the appetizer!) ....We said, "I thought we were getting chalupas, and "G" said those are chalupas... they WERE NOT. What we had was a soggy unseasoned Tostada. I asked if she hadn't requested the meat would we have just gotten a flat Tortilla with lettuce ,a tomato wedge and guacamole??? She said Yes... she admitted that she knew what a chalupa was, but said that at this restaurant ? that's not what you get. Here, if it has meat its a tostada (soggy, not fried), if it doesn't have meat its a Chalupa...Like, even Taco Bell knows what a Chalupa is!!! The enchilada was also soggy, had no sauce inside, just watered down sauce on the outside, was bland as well as the rice and beans.. it was like they threw it together, no baking, just melt cheese on top under a heat lamp. The best thing about the dish was our glass bottled Mexican sodas. My son (who eats anything) even complained about his beef nachos, NO FLAVOR, and barely ate his food. All in all, it was quite the experience that had me and my Sis thinking we were going nuts.. at least we laughed about how ridiculous it all was..Our server was very sweet and apologized for the expensive dollop and unseasoned food. She even took the guacamole and a soda off the tab. We tipped her well because it's not her fault..The food was edible, and we were starving, so we ate most of it with big frowns and blank stares at each other... However, we are never wasting money or time here again. So disappointing.

Well the flavor was okay... But the look was like a burrito puked in my plate next to the chicken cutlets.. :( it did not look like something anyone should eat.Maybe takeout is not something to do...

Being from Texas, this is very good, I want to say close to TexMex! Red sauce is fantastic.

Clean, excellent & attentive service, and great food on a random Sunday afternoon. They don't serve alcohol but appear to be BYOB. There's a liquor store next door, we didn't figure that out until we were leaving. They have non-alcoholic margaritas and Jarritos which worked for us.Traditional and organized. This was a one off for us but was quietly perfect. And yes, the salsa was fresh.

All I can say is for Mexican food it tastes like a Non-Mexican cooked it. The flavor is not there. Not authentic Mexican food at all. I’ve ordered there in the past and they seem to get it wrong every time. They send nachos but no salsa, the main plate comes with tortillas and they don’t put it, you ask for a chicken quesadilla and they forget to put the chicken. I’ve given them multiple chances to see if maybe it was just the cook having a bad day but now I know that he or she just doesn’t know how to cook real Mexican food. Never ordering from here again and won’t recommend it to anyone.

Being from Texas I expect a lot from a Mexican place and this one just about fits the bill. It’s great food every time. They did yank prices up significantly since opening, so it’s not as much of a value but still well priced for a delicious meal. The problem is always with the service and quite frankly how the management and kitchen perform. They have a couple of outstanding servers but no management presence or expo to get food and and ensure customer satisfaction. If the leadership would step up a notch it would be five star every time.
