California Pizza Kitchen at Short Hills Mall

My partner and I have been to several CPK locations but this was by far the worst experience we’ve had.
Our waiter kept disappearing and wasn’t very friendly or helpful. We had to ask for bread, he said it was in the oven and then I had to ask again when our pizza came out since he totally forgot about it. Somehow our take and bake came before our actual pizza did which just took up extra space on the already small table and wasn’t being kept in proper temp. The pizza we ordered also took extra long because our waiter dropped a piece of it onto the floor and they had to remake another one. I’m not sure what happened to that extra pizza since it didn’t go to us but we barely got an apology and the manager never spoke to us.
The food was good thankfully but the waiter never checked back in. He eventually came back with a receipt that he slapped on the table, didn’t offer dessert or anything else, and the take and back was priced wrong so we had to ask someone to fix it. There seemed to be a lot of people working but not many actually doing anything. Overall not a good experience, would not return or recommend this location.

Amazing place for pizza and pasta.

This Restaurant has MICE eat at your own Risk

This is one of my favorite restaurants ever! I personally recommend their Avacado Club Rolls they are my favorite

MICE BEWARE !!!

I had an awful experience today at this restaurant . A mouse ran out from underneath My feet I was absolutely disgusted. The staff did not seem to care and were not apologetic at all. My mother and I decided to not eat the food we did order
This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed immediately

Spend your Money somewhere HYGIENIC definitely not here !!!

DISGRACE

Stood at the hostess stand for 5 minutes waiting for someone to seat us. The wait was so long for the food and then when it came, she forgot the appetizer. However, the man nearby is wearing a suit got his appetizer, meal, and check before she even came back over to our table. Wonder if it’s because we’re two girls?

Their dine in closes 45 minutes before official closing time, they should mention it on google and their website

We held our daughter’s birthday party at this location. The service couldn’t have been nicer. They were SO accommodating leading up to the party, worked with us on the menu, set it up in its own space for us, gave us access to put things down pre-opening and were just a pleasure to work with. The actual event ran smoothly. Not an overstatement to say they treated us like family. Highly recommend working with this team.

Talk about a fall from grace. The lettuce wrap was drenched in an extremely salty sauce, with extra sauce on the side (in case you didn't get a stroke from consuming the sauce already on the wrap). We didn't eat more than a bit and I was thirsty for 3 hours after. The pizza was mediocre at best.

Unless you need a quick meal and have little kids (a lot of little kids and babies on hand here), avoid this CPK.

I informed our waitress that I did not want cilantro on my pizza. After a long wait, she brought my pizza along with the order for our next table (who had been seated and had their order taken at least 10 minutes after us). When I saw cilantro on my pizza, I immediately asked about it. Our waitress conveniently quibbled that the kitchen had made a mistake and said they would remake it. However, she rolled her eyes in front of us then walked away without offering any apology. To make matters worse, she never checked on us or refilled my empty water glass while I waited extra time for them to fix their mistake.

As a longtime fan of CPK, this was my first time dining at the Short Hills, NJ location and it will certainly be my last. Our waitress’s name was Maria.

Good convince place in mall. The pizza is a little overpriced compared to some other quality options in downtown Millburn.
