I haven't been to a NM restaurant in a very long while and based on this experience in ShortHills Mall, I would say there was a reason. The food was tasteless. The salad I had with chicken—one had to search for the chicken strips which were so dry they could have passed for croutons, topped off with a bland dressing. The popovers served to us were a pale comparison to what I remember—again tasteless. With all the options in the mall, we made the wrong decision to dine here for a late lunch.

We found out the AC was broken after we sat down. It was pretty warm but we didnt make a fuss. The servers were wonderful and the front host was super. Meal was good as well.

Everything about a NM cafe is great. Our server was wonderful and our entrees were outstanding. Only 4 stars on food as the popovers were off. Seemed small and dense and chewy. A little disappointed since it was my husband first time and I have raved about the popover for years!

Always a pleasant lunch and the sampler is a tasty value. Love the complimentary bread and strawberry butter served at the beginning. My only critique is that the cup of beef broth was a little too salty on the day that we dined.

Burger was not fresh, it's a frozen type. The carpets haven't been washed in a very long time. Houseflies were all around.
