Dining at Shrewsbury chipotle felt like a frontal lobotomy. This felt like it was straight out of a fever dream I’ll be at not even real. I walk in and half the staff is on their break at the same time eating food that is not from chipotle in the customer dining room, that is very enticing! And definitely entices me even more to come eat at this location. Anyways, I get in line and order my bowl, and once I get to the cashier, she “ forgets to ring me up for queso” when I saw queso pop up on the screen. but since I’m a good customer, I obliged to be robbed of $3.15. Anyways, I go sit down and there is an employee from wonder food hall, who appears to be getting the same cashier that robbed me. They are acting very unprofessional in the dining room, where the wonder Foodhall employee started walking behind the counter for Chipotle employees and we’re talking very loudly to each other in the middle of the dining room. Then the other chick who work there was grubbing on dominoes in the dining room. Like I get it, I like what I like to, but in terms of creating a pleasant customer environment that is appealing… This place definitely ain’t it! Not to mention the fact that my bowl was 90% rice lol

This is the worst food establishment within 5 miles. Maybe 10! I’ve been dealing with it because we like the food, but now that I’m aware there is another location close by, I’ll never go back to Shrewsbury again. Today was the straw that broke the camel’s back. My kids and their friends ordered their food and attempted to pay cash only to be told the store couldn’t make change, so a $16 meal would now cost $20 since a $20 bill was all they had. Not all kids carry cards. There is a sign stating they can’t make change but young teens are not the best at noticing these things. I asked the cashier what the problem is (bc this “change” issue has been a thing there for about 3 weeks) and she said there’s a shortage of singles. So I told her she needs to give the kid something to make up for the $4, so she gave her a $2.75 bag of chips. Better, but still a ripoff. This location has crazy staff turnover. One of the managers there is rude and couldn’t care less abt customer svc. The tables are always dirty, the front door doesn’t work, and they can’t even wrap a freaking burrito properly! How are they still in business? I hate writing reviews but I attempted to get this info to the Shrewsbury location to no avail.

This has to be one of the worst chipotle stores in Monmouth County everything about this place screams health code violation it’s concerning and I don’t know how this place is even allowed to be running . To start when you enter the restaurant it’s dirty, tables chairs drink station cutlery everywhere just dirt.and the atmosphere matches the customer service every time I come it’s like a ghost town no employees to be found you literally have to wait 10 minutes before somebody decides they wanna actually work.every employee I’ve seen in the past 5 times I’ve been here had been rude and lacked the ability to serve the mediocre food with a smile. I don’t recommend coming after 5 o’clock there’s never no rice chicken steak queso guacamole cheese lettuce and if there is food it’s crunchy burnt and salty. If you could I would skip this circus and go to red bank or the one by the Monmouth mall.

I've tried this place 5times and never again. You can walk in and can stand at the counter for 5mins until somebody finally pulls themselves away from the group yap session. And the attitudes almost like it's a bother bc you are there ordering food around 830/9pm. 2 of the 5times they were out of brown rice and simply wasnt making more. it was 830pm.

i hate this chipotle. every time i go through the drive thru lane there’s an issue. either they can’t hear me, forget something, have attitude, can’t speak english, etc. i’m not even racist i’m literally hispanic but like cmon if you can’t speak english at all why work a customer service job. the girl said my order wasn’t ready when on the app it said it was. so i waited 20 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready, i get my food and everything is cold. it definitely was ready and she didn’t know what she was talking about. it’s unfortunate this is the only chipotlane in the area. i also wouldn’t wanna go inside this establishment regardless. food portions are fine i guess. food quality is normal average chipotle.

I was there yesterday 12/15/25 at 4pm and I was waiting in line to order a burrito while they were making the burrito the girl who's in charge didn't even get half way done making it and she literally walked off while her coworker was ringing someone up. I felt bad for the guy because he was the only one ringing costumers and making burritos.

Ordered a “build your own” party pack for my daughter’s birthday party. Order was placed in the morning and I chose 4:30 for pickup. At 4:45 they still haven’t started working on it. The lady was very rude and acted like it was my fault for placing a large order. Won’t be coming back.

I had a very unpleasant visit. The lady on register was very rude and lazy. I ordered regular chips and guacamole and she said she would only serve a large bag and I pointed out how the guy behind her had just grabbed a large bag and took the chips out to make smalls. I said, can you give me a small please, and she refused because she said she wouldn’t touch the bags. Even then, everything should be stocked at all times.

A coworker and I went to have lunch here and first thing i notice was the food looked old and dried out. The chicken was burnt all of it! even the one they had cooking on the grill. I had to tell them your burning more chicken on the grill. The rice was hard and doesn't taste like rice more like plastic. And for two bowls it came up to $44 and it wasn't worth it at all. So if you want bad food go here.

consistently skimps you out on the portion sizes. its a shame because this is the closest one near me, but given the fact that 1. its the dirtiest chipotle local to the area 2. the food is always unsatisfactory (dry protein/rice, unbearably salty rice) 3. theyre reliably out of drinks/certain selections of food and 4. under-portions every single serving, i cannot in good conscience decide to spend my money here any longer. i gave this place so many chances… if youre in the location, go to the eatontown chipotle instead - it’s far more aligned with the typical chipotle experience, one that obviously cannot be achieved by management and staff at this location.

Food was great and place gets very busy and workers were all very hard working and helpful and kept professionalism despite lunch rush so they deserve appreciation for the fast service and kind demeanor.

I don't even like writing Google reviews but here we are. Listen, Ive personally worked at a Chipotle before and I completely understand how tiring it can be but this one dude who was on the line looked like he was literally on life support. Did not say a single thing and I kept repeating my order just in case he didn't here but apparently he does and I just feel bad. Like other reviews mentioned only that dude was on the line. I'm not even complaining out of like frustration or anger. It's genuine concern. If ure somehow reading this bro, hopefully you get some time off
