My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful evening at Embrace. We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. The food we ordered was very hot when we received it seasoned, very good and a large portion. The ambiance was nice with live entertainment. We enjoyed the evening and will return.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening with a friend for dinner. The service was good and the food was excellent! My entree as well as my friends was very well seasoned and large portions. We enjoyed a gentleman playing the saxophone who was very entertaining and added a nice vibe to the evening.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem in the city. Embrace delivers on every front - incredible ambiance, service and food. Mariah was a very attentive and friendly waitress. I ordered the strawberry waffles, shrimp and gouda grits and lobster. The food was bursting with flavour! It's the perfect blend of southern comfort with a gourmet twist. The kindness and warmth of the owners also set this restaurant apart, making every guest feel welcome and assured they are in the best hands from the moment they walk through the door. 10/10. Highly recommend!

My mother and I decided to stop in for dinner as this is right down the street from our house, and we heard about the live jazz on Fridays and Saturdays. I'm only upset we haven't gone here sooner! The atmosphere was very comforting, and the staff were super friendly and attentive as soon as we walked in the door.
We shared the lamb Flatbread as an appetizer (the avacado was a nice touch that I wouldn't have expected to go well on a pizza) and we hadn't even finished before our meals came out. I had the Salmon on the Green which was amazing by itself, even better with a little hot sauce, and mom got the pan seared scallops, which were cooked perfectly. Then we topped the night off with the Sweet Potato Cheesecake, which was creamy and the mashed sweet potato added the perfect fall flavor.
Not to mention the live music, which just helped to make it a great night overall. We will definitely be returning for more!

I was encouraged to come to this place by one of my students because she raved about this place all the time. This place did not disappoint. I’m primarily vegan but this time I tried the salmon over kale and it was over the moon and back. It was funny being here because not only did I enjoy the ambience, the music, the atmosphere and the company. It so happens I knew the chefs as a small child. I knew his parents. I’m glad to see that he turned out to be a well-rounded well established young man and cooks amazingly. The owner, however I’ve had experiences with his previous establishments. The Taste and Sea restaurant: I wish had never closed. So I already knew the food would be above and beyond my expectations. This is truly 5 stars.

I ordered pancakes grits & catfish with a side of scrambled eggs..OMG!!!…The food was terrible …my grits taste like some diabetes grits and my catfish wasn’t seasoned…My eggs taste like they were made in a bag…honestly jail food is better than this …For it to be black owned I’m highly upset and for it to come up to $40 , smh I even got a piece of carrot cake which was $7 bucks alone.. I’m scared to even eat that , lol my dog wouldn’t even eat this food…SMH I’M HIGHLY UPSET AND A WASTE OF MONEY!!!…. Please stay away…
The absolute best omelette ever! Light and fluffy. Homemade salad dressing was light and very tasty.

I pride myself for giving honest reviews and that's what you're going to get from me. We meet the owner at an event for Veterans and he was there handing out his menu for his restaurant. I respect the drive in people that show commitment and work hard so I'm decided to give it a try. I'm glad that we did. Entering the restaurant my mother and I were impressed by the decor. You can tell there is pride and time was put into making the place look classy and clean. That's a great sign to me. We were greeted and seated by a friendly staff member by the name of Reina. The menu seemed well thought out and there was variety which I loved. We both ordered dishes with Grits. My mother had the Whiting and Grits which she enjoyed and I had the Salmon and Grits which I loved. We shared an amazing piece of pumpkin cheesecake with coffee and my mother had Raspberry tea. We enjoyed our meal and Reina was very sweet and accommodating. She brought the desserts to our table and I mentioned that no one does that nowadays, so I couldn't say no. I'm glad I didn't. As far as the things I think they could do better; Playing music in the background. It was intermittent and we had to mention it to the staff to play music. Wait time was a little longer than we had hoped for the meal, it wasn't the worst but I would say it could be better. While the meal was great I would say that maybe adding another side like a roll or another option for a side, maybe some veggie options, even a creamy savory gravy over the fish would be a great compliment to the dish. So I would say it was lacking a bit. Being new I'm sure the servers are still getting their flow worked out and I know as time passes the experience will only get better as they improve. Overall, I would say I had a positive experience. I left in a great mood and enjoyed the food, and I am always excited when a new business or restaurant (Especially minority owned) opens in the community. I am a huge supporter of US and we ALL should do our part to help each other grow. I will be back, even if only to try their other dessert options alone! Thank you EMBRACE!

Atmosphere is really nice. Jazz playing in the background. Food is very good both times I have eaten there. The only take away is we could not have separate checks and/or was limited to only 2 ways of paying our bill. Otherwise, I would recommend Embrace if you have never been.

My wife and I discovered Embrace last month. From the moment we walked into Embrace, we realized we were not in an ordinary restaurant. We were greeted by the friendliest people who showed they genuinely care. The food is all homemade southern cooking that is cooked on the spot and tastes amazing. It has become our favorite restaurant. I highly recommend it!

one of the best over easy
We had a nice time at Embrace. The owner came out eating a turkey wing, saying it was delicious. We thought he should have given us a sample. The staff was very courteous & pleasant. BYOB. I had salmon over collards. It was delicious, and my spouse had the turkey wing with Mac & cheese & greens. He said it was good. The prices were a little high but affordable. The place was clean and there were no complaints. Their pink lemonade was a hit with our Titos. I'd go again. Maybe we'll go when the band is there to compensate for the price of the food.
Parking: It's a large parking lot at a strip mall.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it's wheelchair accessible.
