Food is 10/10! Great customer service too! I placed my order over the phone and my husband picked up. Phone call was great and my husband said pick up was great as well! We don’t live close so when we’re in the area we always stop because the food is amazing!

Listen.... I'm a jerk chicken aficianado. It's my FAVORITE food in the world! I've tried jerk chicken from a gazillion places in Philly, NJ, and some in NY.

Flava by FAR makes the BEST jerk chicken I've ever tasted! They don't cheat or take shortcuts! Most places use Grace all purpose seasoning and Grace jerk seasoning and put it in the oven. Then when it's done they slather the jerk chicken in a store bought but restaurant altered jerk BBQ sauce. Let me tell you it's TERRIBLE! I've been to restaurants where the chef was excited to serve me shortcut made jerk chicken. Just NO. At Flava, you can taste the smoke and the homemade jerk seasoning and sauce (not thick like BBQ sauce) on the chicken. The rice and peas taste like they took their time to make it; not like that cheap throwaway rice and peas you get from most other places.

This is the ONLY place I've been going to consistently for over 13 years!

Note: I was reading some of the 1 star reviews and let me tell you they are bogus. I've NEVER had bland or dry or small portions from here. You go to some other Jamaican spots and you get a platter FULL of rice and some nasty rushed jerk chicken that's not really jerk chicken.

And to the person Danamarco or something like that that says Flava needs to close up and they recommend Jamrock in clementon. Let me tell you about Jamrock in clementon. I just ate there a few days ago and guess what I got? I got the jerk chicken platter. It was terrible! It was that fake, shortcut jerk chicken I spoke of earlier. I won't be going there or mama Luna's Jamaican food restaurant right down the street from there. That's nasty too.

The owner, and all the workers are extremely rude and disrespectful. The owner came to window, and argued with a woman.. screaming and yelling at her for NO REASON. I understand everyone gotta make the money, but to be the owner co-signing a woman yelling at a younger woman with no clear indication as well.. they are just nasty, rude individuals. I do not recommend. There is PLENTY of better Jamaican spots out there!

Food is so delicious, I’ve been ordering from them for over 4 years! I always get the oxtails and butter beans with rice and peas and string beans. Josey is such a sweetheart, she would know who I am just from my voice over the phone and knew exactly what I wanted to order before saying it…lol. If you haven’t already, check them out!

I always get the jerk chicken combo which includes jerk chicken and ribs. I got mac and cheese and candied yams. I get this every time. It’s fantastic. The meat falls right off the bone and the candied yams help to counteract all of the spice. It clears my sinuses every time.

Unfortunately, I was unable to try the food myself. However, when I called in to order a jerk chicken platter, the person who answered the phone was rather rude. I asked if they had jerk chicken and he confirmed that they did. When I asked if I could have cabbage instead of rice and peas, he responded with an attitude. I had to explain that I wasn't familiar with their restaurant's menu and that I was just asking a question. Despite this, he continued to be unpleasant and ultimately hung up on me. While there were other interactions that took place, I don't want to go into too much detail in this review.

Flava is awesome. I have been coming here for years and the food never disappoints. My coworkers agreed it's really good! The jerk chicken is my favorite, it has amazing flavor and just the right level of heat. There are a lot of great things on the menu, including all of the sides. I'm a big fan of the rice and peas and collard greens especially. I have never had anything from here I didn't like.

Ribs are fire but cornbread is always messy. Rice portions can be bigger also.

The portion sizes are for a two year old.The size of the cornbread isn’t even enough to taste. Please take heed to the comments, they’re true!!!

U can cook better at home.. please don’t waste ur time.. Mac in cheese out the box greens out the can … flava
