We stumbled upon this place on a rainy, foggy Monday night when a number of other places in the area were closed (it being Monday). Even with it being foggy the view from their dining room was stunning. I can only imagine how pretty it would be on a clear night with all the lights of Ocean City twinkling across the bay. The service we received was friendly and attentive but a bit slow-paced. The food itself however was very good. The bread was fresh and delicious, and the lob

The food was great!! The owner Sam, actually gave me a shoulder massage while I ate because I was so stressed from work that day. Loved the drink they call the “Bazzinator” and the lump crab meat was to die for!! 5 stars and a bgawkkk!!

The view is great, the service and food was ok. Skimpy on the butter for bread. We had to ask for plates for the bread. We were seated at our table for 10 minutes before anyone stopped by. We enjoyed our meals of filet mignon and scallops. Plenty of empty tables. I did enjoy the love music.

We finally had a chance to stop in for cocktails and the beautiful view last evening. Greg the bartender is always a pleasure and provides us excellent service and is very efficient and also friendly. . We were very disappointed that the sausage sliders which we loved, have been removed from the menu and learned that they've done away with their happy hour during the week. What a bummer! Others were disappointed as well. When word gets around, Their business is going to dwindle. It's a shame

Very mis-managed. While having a boat slip there for the summer of 2013, I had many meals at 800 Bay and enjoyed hanging out on the deck with my favorite bartender Andrew. For the most part, not bad. My only complaint with the food was the $12 Angus burger, I guess I just expected it to be more than just a hamburger and I thought it was rather small for the price. However my biggest complaint is how they treat people, which I think reflects on their business. This week I was sent a text message saying if I pay $500 for electric they will turn the power back on at the dock out back where I keep my boat. While I had paid my slip in full at the start of the season, I had not received any prior notification that I had an outstanding electric bill? They just turn off the power and said pay up...think about it. What kind of a business does that to their customers? Why couldn't they just ask me to pay before turning off the power? Despite the fact that the boat slip I was sold has my boat laying in the mud each low tide, I was pleased with the facility and the other boaters there. However, due to their own mis-management of the electric, they try to pass their problems off on the boat slip owners. When I called to ask why they would do this to me there was no apology, they just said pay up and your electric will be turned back on. I feel this type of attitude reflects on the business as a whole. I'll NEVER go back!! For a marina that had about 2/3 of their boat slips empty this summer, while most of the area marina's were at full capacity, I now understand why.

The waiter was very pleasant though slightly overwhelmed. My wife's salad very good my steamed clams not so good. Pork special good not great. Probably won't return. Understand constant turnover in chefs could b Dr. Trocki.

Most horrific meal ever. However, waiter Was great. Apps were good but then the bottom fell out. Took 2 1/2 hours to get dinner and then it was awful. Sent grouper back, kids pasta was hard and not cooked, scallops dish had risotto soaked in salt. In edible . Manager offered us wine while we waited and never brought it. Then expected us to pay for all the food we couldn't eat. We refused. As we were leaving there was a man having all the same problems as us. 3 hrs, no dinner yet. Manager was horrible and has no customer service skills.

800 Bay is closed now. The restaurant has re-opened as a french-asian fusion bistro named Philippe Chin.

Had been looking foward to going to 800 Bay and took my boyfriend there for romantic evening. We had the Fish tacos, which were a total let down. The mahi mahi "fish" turned out to be cold shredded i don't know what. No recognizable connection, taste, look, etc. to mahi mahi or any other fish. It was a cold wrap with a little cold mush inside. It was hard to believe they normally charged $11.00 for a two taco order. We ordered four orders due to our "great expectations". (although we convinced them to honor the internet advertised happy hour half price). I can not say it was a very happy hour spent there. Having said that, the waitress was nice enough and the inside was tasteful. Too bad the food wasn't. Obviously we did not order anything else. It was hard to believe the tacos were characterized by our waitress as small but popular. The Phillies were playing on the TV and we wished we were there instead, because we know the stadium food would have been better. The fancy car usually sitting out front seemed like a prop, much like the beer car at Chicky and Pete's.

Deck bar was nice...sat inside for dinner Great food, limited wine list & the staff is spread thin. Had dinner with 7 guests and were seated at a 4 person table. Cramped to say the least. Mussels Maranara & Rib Eye was better than good. Great views and nice property. Will probably give it another shot... (3.5 Stars)

Sitting at the bar is wonderful at 800 Bay, everything else is mediocre. A group of us went for happy hour. The signs advertised happy hour specials through 7 but at 6:30, we were told happy hour was over. The food was mediocre and drinks were on the expensive side. After paying our checks, we were asked to give up our seats. We won't be coming back to 800 Bay, there are plenty of other waterfront restaurants with better food and service at this price point.

Great ambiance. Right on the bay. Live music outside in the bar area and inside in the dining area as well. Seemed to be an older/family crowd. A lot of space for groups. Service was a bit slow and ate more bread than I intended to..The lobster bisque was great and comes with chunks of meat on top. The lamb chops were delish. Tried my friend's cod, which was cooked well but a bit bland. Unfortunately was too full for dessert :(
