I had a really uncomfortable experience at this Chipotle the other night and it completely ruined the meal for me. My friend and I walked in around 8:30 pm. The store does not close until 10 but the employee named Ahmed already seemed annoyed that customers were coming in. He was mopping dirty floors in the lobby and immediately gave us dirty looks when we approached the counter.
The entire ordering process felt tense and unwelcoming. He had an attitude, was snarky, and made us feel like we were inconveniencing him just by being there. When we finished ordering, instead of handing us our tray like normal, he left it pushed all the way on his side of the counter, forcing us to awkwardly reach over to grab it.
What made the situation worse was what happened afterward. While we were eating, more customers came in and Ahmed went right back to cleaning the already dirty lobby. However, with every customer after us, his demeanor completely changed. He suddenly became cheerful, bubbly, smiling, and laughing with them. The contrast was very noticeable and honestly unsettling.
I did not want to jump to conclusions, but my friend and I are Black and every customer after us was white. The difference in how we were treated versus everyone else was hard to ignore. It left a bad taste in my mouth and spoiled the experience entirely.
Because of this interaction, I will be avoiding this location going forward. Customer service should be consistent and respectful to everyone, and that was not the case here.

Girl messed up the order twice, didn't have a bite of steak until the bottom quarter of the burrito. By far the dirtiest Chipotle I've ever been too. No napkins, trash overflowing etc. All stainless steel is filthy

Wow. Place has REALLY gone down hill. They hardly give any meat (hence why they say double) and their pepper and onion looks old as heck! $40 for two bowls and you walk out frustrated with no food. Don better chipotle

We frequent this Chipotle in Somers Point because it’s the only one we go to, but it has become really inconsistent. Portions have gotten noticeably smaller and no longer justify the price (see photo). Not sure if it’s a corporate issue or just this location, but it’s disappointing. We really hope they tighten things up because we’ve always liked coming here, but they need to do better.

Done with Chipotle for good. $21 for a half filled bowl, 12 tortilla chips, and a soda. I had to eat dinner again 2 hours later and I’m an average sized 185 lb. man. Chicken was dry and flavorless. Place is the worst

Very clean place. All the employees there are very nice and welcoming. One employee in particular, Tina, was super accommodating! She handled my order very well and made sure everything was portioned out correctly as well as my friends order and it came out fantastic. She was also very lovely. Thank you Tina!

My bowl was half full today I told the girl the (2) bowls I bought were the smallest I've ever gotten from Chipotle. I've never been there on a Friday and I've never seen this girl before, as I go every Saturday for lunch but you won't see me there again.
