We attended a small wedding, and the reception was held here. High marks for the barbecue burger, which was delicious a good size, and manageable without mess. Unfortunately, the accompanying homemade potato chips were nearly inedible--flavor decent, but hard to bite and chew. I was disappointed that they did not have root beer, and that when I asked the waitress did not offer a list of non-alcoholic beverages, but confirmed when asked that yes, they did have ginger ale. I might excuse this because they are effectively a nightclub/bar, but apart from people who don't drink but come for the food and the music, what do they offer to the designated drivers?
The live cover band was impressive, and particularly because they were already playing when we arrived and still going after we left, without a break and while maintaining satisfactory musicianship. It's not a place for quiet conversations--speakers in the back fill the house with the music. Menu prices were a bit stiff, but the selection was varied and interesting.
The waiter mentioned that this was the final week this year; being at the shore they are a summertime operation.

The place seemed very nice, but the weather was cool and windy. My drink blew over on me and into my purse. We had planned to have dinner also, but decided against it because of the wind. There should be drop down sides on the structure or something along the water side for that kind of weather.

Okay, let me start by saying. The atmosphere is a bar type atmosphere, but it was very comfortable because it was adjacent to the waterfront and the beach. The music was loud. A lot of people like that with the ringing in my ears, I could do without it. It was a little too loud. Of course, the company that we were with was excellent. It was a very fun time and everyone seem to really enjoy themselves. People around us that we didn't know they were all having fun and enjoying themselves, seems like a very popular place for a lot of people.
Sometimes, for someone like me. A little uncomfortable because I don't drink so the alcohol environment was also not bad with the people. It was not a rowdy place or anything like that. It was very favorable. I would say 2, just having fun. I would suggest to visit if you have sensitive ears. Bring some earplugs, ha ha. Have a blessed day.
Parking: It can be somewhat difficult depending on the time of day that you go later in the evening. Around 5, it seems to start picking up. They also had a live band that was setting up. And getting ready to play, so obviously, when the band starts playing, more people start arriving so parking can get difficult

Came here previously but was completely embarrassed in front of family and friends by the "bouncer," or whatever he is, at the entrance. Had three adult friends visiting from Virginia, and decided to take the to the Point. The portly bearded guy at the entrance carded the younger 20-something of our friends from VA and quickly said sorry but she can't come in because it was a fake ID. The parents showed their VA licenses, which looked exactly the same, but he refused to change his mind and offered some obvious bull about why the one looked different from the others. He also refused to use a scanner to confirm the validity of the license. The eight of us left, and took a lot of money with us. Looking at the reviews over just the past two months there's about 8 similar instances, nearly all young women, of this bully on his power trip. Hopefully management will take note.

I may be in my 30s but my god I felt like I was at a high school party.
went on a fishing charter boat early saturday morning and our group decided on food before leaving and stopped here, place was awesome food was so good, and the general atmosphere was amazing, was our first time there, with that being said there is already plans for a second trip for the sole purpose of going there i would def recommend giving it a try, doesn’t matter the age range or attire from fully dressed up to beach attire is welcome and the view while eating is a added bonus!

Just got back from a wonderful vacation in Ocean City and had the pleasure of dining at The Point in Somers Point. Despite reading some negative reviews, our experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Our sever was so friendly and attentive can't remember her name but she had darker hair.
The food was delicious, We tried several dishes, and each one was better than the last. You cant go wrong with ordering the BBQ chicken Sandwich, Polynesian chicken skewers, the cheesesteak is one of the best! it was on the busier time that we went but with the live music we understood that food was going to be coming out on the slower end.
Don't let a few negative reviews deter you—The Point is a must-visit if you're in the area. We can't wait to go back!

Hey, there's a tiki bar nearby. The weather's great, and they serve food and drinks. What more could you ask for?
It was a bit windy, so it wasn't the most comfortable, but they still had a nice seating area and a good vibe. The food was a little dry, but it was still okay. We were drinking and having fun, so it didn't really matter.
We went on a weekday, and there was no entrance fee.
