Went there with my grandson ordered fish and chips. The sign outside said fresh local seafood. When my food came the fish had a bad odor. The waitress took it in the back and the manager came out and said they smelled it and it seemed to smell fine and gave it back to me. Now they want me to eat it after they put their nose in it and smelled it. This was not fresh fish it was obviously frozen. Highly recommend trying somewhere else. I do not take any pride in leaving negative comments but I do not like how they handled the situation. I did not even take one bite of the food paid for it and left.

BEWARE:
Windjammer adds thier own 10% gratuity on to-go orders without informing the customer. They need to put up a sign letting customers know about additional charges. They can't just add gratuity without telling customers. I tipped the server 20% on top of the 10% they added because I wasn't told and there's no sign that there is already some tip added. That's wrong to do to people. You may have gotten double tipped by me and many others but it stops now.

The Windjammer was a pleasant surprise.When we heard that the restaurant we were first supposed to go was a 1&half hour wait. We saw the Windjammer and decided to try it , since now we traveled from Brooklyn ,we were hungry. When entering the place it seemed like a Diner with booths which we were seated in . First thought was this is going to be just average food . After looking at the menu my wife choose a dinner special linguine with a half a pound of crab and I chose the Windjammer combo. To get straight to the point. This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time ,a hidden gem. Maybe not so hidden. Will definitely come back again. I love the Windjammer. The food you receive is high quality, big portions for a great price. Next time I'm going to go for the dessert . I was stuffed after that meal. God bless You Windjammer and God Bless America. Just wanted to add., definitely get the crab bisque. It is one of the best I've had loaded with crab. Amazing
