Great place for empanadas!

They seem to be fried then baked - I am not sure - but the crust is light and not oily.

They serve an interesting spicy condiment with the empanadas - some mixture of pickled jalapeños, onions carrots- very delicious

We got 5 empanadas to go with a cup of homemade orange-carrot juice and it was delicious

Our toddler loved the empanadas con chorizo

My wife has been wanting to try this place out for a while and happy to say no complaints at all. Nice little restaurant, in a town we enjoy. I was surprised how much my daughter liked the empanada cheeseburger, and my wife kept it simple with a pressed ham sandwich. I went over the top with chorizo and cheese empanadas, a side of chicharrones, and enjoyed the almuerzo campesino. The empanada were ok not the best I've had but I liked them. The campesino was a great breakfast, but when I asked for 3 eggs, I thought it was going to come over easy, and it came scrambled instead. Not a deal breaker i love over easy with rice and beans. The chicharrones were different from what I'm used to but again not the best but still ate everything. I sent my plates back cleaned, and I was content. Division cafe is worth going to if youre around, get something to eat and walking around for a bit and visit the shops......update went back and food was better than last time. The empanadas are not something you want to share make sure you get your own. They are to good to share.

My friend and I went to get empanadas after getting coffee across the street. We ordered a few empanadas and wanted to sit outside to enjoy the weather, but the server was upset we didn't order drinks, and he was talking bad about us to another server (a girl) made us feel so uncomfortable so I would rate the service a 0. Why spend money somewhere you are not valued for not ordering a drink...

The first two times I came was a few years and the brunch was excellent; less impressed with our two main selections this time but would definitely go back! Sat outside which was a pleasant experience; the restaurant is off of main street so a bit quieter. Ordered 4 empanadas: chicken (meh skip this one), chorizo, spinach and cheese (wife’s favorite), and spicy mix. Really enjoyed the ‘relish’ they give you on the side, great flavor. We only used hot sauce on the chicken one which says a lot as we use it on everything. I got the breakfast tacos and we were both surprised how bland they were. Would think you couldn’t go wrong here but needed more cheese or something at a minimum. My wife got the spicy and sweet chicken wrap; she wasn’t overly impressed but I liked it. Fries were fresh and excellent though.

Grabbed a couple of empanadas from their cart on the weekend - my goodness they are delicious! The guava is EXCEPTIONAL and the bean and cheese is this delicious combo of cheese and refried beans.

OMG!! I thought they were exaggerating about the empanadas, but they were sooo good. A nice little snack while enjoying a walk down main street.

Empanadas that theyre known for are good but lesser known gems like the sweet potato omelette and sweet and spicy wrap are my faves. Very tasty & unique👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼my kind of food.

I got the Casado and though I wish there were more of the cheese, it was delicious! It was pricy at around $20 but I suppose you pay for quality here 🙂. The service was good; they checked on me even when I was a single diner where some places don’t. The wait was like ten minutes after sitting so I wasn’t having to stay still and hungry on a 100 degree day 😂
