Great place for empanadas!

They seem to be fried then baked - I am not sure - but the crust is light and not oily.

They serve an interesting spicy condiment with the empanadas - some mixture of pickled jalapeños, onions carrots- very delicious

We got 5 empanadas to go with a cup of homemade orange-carrot juice and it was delicious

My wife has been wanting to try this place out for a while and happy to say no complaints at all. Nice little restaurant, in a town we enjoy. I was surprised how much my daughter liked the empanada cheeseburger, and my wife kept it simple with a pressed ham sandwich. I went over the top with chorizo and cheese empanadas, a side of chicharrones, and enjoyed the almuerzo campesino. The empanada were ok not the best I've had but I liked them. The first two times I came was a few years and the brunch was excellent; less impressed with our two main selections this time but would definitely go back! Sat outside which was a pleasant experience; the restaurant is off of main street so a bit quieter. Ordered 4 empanadas: chicken (meh skip this one), chorizo, spinach and cheese (wife’s favorite), and spicy mix. Really enjoyed the ‘relish’ they give you on the side, great flavor. We only used hot sauce on the chicken...
