I ordered and prepaid for a delicious milk tea online and when I got to the Somerville area, there was a lot of foot traffic and car traffic because of an event. I ended up deciding even losing the $ and bubble tea still wasn't worse than the anxiety of parking and walking through so much traffic, so I just kept driving.
I am sure that had I picked up the order, the milk tea would have been delicious, and I will definitely order again. 5/5

My favorite boba place whenever I visit this area. Good selection of milk tea and fruit teas and they make all their fruit syrup from scratch! They have lots of seating and free wifi so perfect to work or study at. I got the strawberry matcha and passionfruit matcha and it was delicious!

I needed some bubble tea for the hour drive home and found Grumpy Bobas on the way. It's located on the Main Street of town, so it'll be hard to find parking there on a Saturday, which is when we came. But there are side street paid parking and a municipal lot, but you'll just have to walk an extra block or two. I had the ube latte with boba, which looked very good but the taste was disappointing. Despite the deep purple color, I didn't really taste any ube flavor in it, and it was gritty. The boba was good though. Hubby had the strawberries and cream with panda (mix of boba + sago). I didn't care for his drink either but I did like the boba + sago mix.
I probably won't be back just because I'm never in this area. But if you do go, I would recommend a basic drink like milk tea, with the panda.

Amazing!!! The whole atmosphere was calm, and clean, and the staff were super friendly. They had a unique variety of bubble teas (I got a rose matcha latte), dairy-free options, and the prices were fantastic. Will definitely come here again! ☺️✌️

Got the Thai boba (with oat milk) but it was sad and tasted like water. Usually Thai tea is supposed to be thicker in texture and full bodied in flavor. I didn’t raise it up to staff, so unsure if they would’ve made me a diff drink anyways, so two stars.
