I often come here for their omakase for special occasions and wanted to reinforce my high opinion of Ai through reviews. However, I saw a few bad reviews and that broke my heart. This is the best sushi in New Jersey. It is as similar to eating sushi in Japan as you can get locally in NJ in terms of types of sushi and variation of fish. If you like “insert your towns name” crazy roll covered in mayonnaise this is not the place for you. If you want a perfect piece of barracuda (they have all the regular fish too, salmon, tuna etc) on top of rice this is the spot.

Great hole in a wall place. Consistent quality over the years and management perturbations.
Not many authentic sushi places still left in NJ.
Our kids from California can't believe combination of quality and reasonable price, lol.
