This is our go to place for sushi. We usually do takeout and haven't eaten inside, but every time the chefs are so quick with our orders and they are always ready by the time we walk in the door to pick up. So happy they are back after the fire next door!

I have now tried all the sushi restaurants in Somerville and Bridgewater since moving back. By far, Yokohama and Chef Allen is the best. Lots of places around offer all you can eat, which is just stock salmon and tuna in a commodity roll format. Same you can buy at Whole Foods. Yokohama not only gives you a generous portion, but every dish, even just a simple sashimi order, is artistically created and presented. They always have daily special fish they artistically present that others would price for twice as much. If you appreciate quality and want to enjoy traditional artistic presentation and creativity, go to Yokohama. I’m not a paid actor or know the owners. Just giving a friendly review to others like me that love really fresh sushi for a fair price without the fu fu mark up.

Great news- they are finally reopening (a fire down the street closed them months ago). Oct 10, 2024 is the grand reopening! Looking forward to enjoying their delicious sushi again!

Sushi Yokohama just back from re-construction the way they build are so Japanese Wood style. Decor are good, food is so fantastic. Owner Allen add new wagy beef to his menu! I try the food it was so delicious!

this has been my absolute favorite sushi place for 5 years now! good quality yummy fish for the fairest pricing you’re going to find in all of somerville.. though their quality trumps some of its competitors. my favorite roll is the yummy yummy roll. service is always super fast. they have lovely lunch specials, outdoor seating and are byob.

Had the Sushi boat and a5 wagyu. Everything was awesome and worked out to be $50 per person with tip for 3 people, totally worth it.
