I have been going to Yokohama for over 10 years and followed them to multiple locations around Somerville. They have amazing prices and even better sushi! My favorite thing on the menu is the outstanding roll. I have never been unhappy with my food or experience there and recommend them to everyone. 10/10 they truly never miss.

Hair in my Shrimp Tempura
While eating my shrimp tempura, I found a long strand of hair in it. But that wasn’t the worse part. When I showed it to the staff, and they told the sushi chefs, everyone treated it “ok, it happens”. The server came to me and simply said, “I’ll get you a new one. We will ensure you don’t have to pay for this one”. The nonchalant attitude combined with the apparent favor they were doing me for not charging me for the sushi with hair was too much.
I later called their manager thinking that they kight care. But Alan said, “Yes, it happens. When it does, we make you a new one.”
How is a food establishment not shocked and highly apologetic for feeding their hair to a customer is beyond me?

The BEST sushi spot in the area. Their kani salad is so unique, truly never had anything like it, not even at super upscale restaurants. It's very affordable too, I usually spend around $50 for two people, appetizers and drinks included.

No matter what day of the week- Yokohama delivers. Fairly priced, delicious, quality fish creating the best sushi. It’s been a few years and never once had a bad experience.
Ordered love boat, beef negimaki, fried Gyoza, and seafood salad. Great ambience and good quality seafood. The service was good. Great price for the amount of food we got as a group. 200$ between 5 people.

The worst customer service ever. I ordered takeout, but my wife was hungry, so I asked for a table (10 mos later) and was told I couldn't sit down because I ordered takeout. What does that mean? Do they only care about money and not the customer? The restaurant was more than half empty. They had about 10 tables free and offered me a seat outside, that was the only option for me because I ordered takeout. (Temperature: 29°C on a sunny day.) If I could speak to the manager, that would be great, because I'm a regular customer and this is unacceptable.
