I really liked the quality of the food , even though I asked for a plate to be changed as I realised I have ordered the wrong plate - a combo I didn’t really liked the miso soup and I didn’t realise the dish contained sashimi which I am not really a fan of- but this wasn’t changed and I had to order something else. Overall a nice experience and very good quality food!

There are many sushi places in the area, but we always come back to Yokohama. Every time we go, we know we will get delicious sushi at a fraction of the price compared to the restaurants around but the quality is still just as good, if not better! We got a seat at the bar, where we watched the sushi chefs work their magic. Fun atmosphere and delicious food!

Stopped in to try a sushi spot in the Somerville downtown area. Since there's many options I picked Yokohama since they have a bento box and I like variety. I wanted to sit outside, unfortunately they were short staffed and settled for take out to enjoy the nice day. Portions were mid and flavor was okay. Overall for the value it was about average for the area. Would I be back, probably not anytime soon.

I recently went to eat at Yokohama with my family to celebrate my birthday. We always order take-out but this time we decided to go instead. As soon as we walked in I noticed a woman seated with a dog on her lap that would then climb onto part of the table. We were going to be seated by her but my husband immediately let them know I am highly allergic to dogs. They proceeded to seat us on the other side of the restaurant. It was too late to find another restaurant to go to or I would have left. I find it absolutely disgusting and unsanitary having any pet in a place that serves food let alone sushi. We’ve always loved Yokohama and only buy sushi from them but now that I know pets are allowed in the restaurant I’m not going there any more. And no it was not a service dog.

Walked in there over the weekend and was immediately hit with the smell of fish. I walked right out. I wasn't going to take a chance of getting sick. Fresh fish isn't supposed to have a smell.

Great sushi and tempura. Very creative and delicious rolls. Staff are lovely. Great place for lunch or dinner, but they do get busy. Highly recommend if you're in Sommerville!
