Called them 6 times Sunday about 11 and no answer, called Knot Bagels in Woodbridge, answered on the first ring. I'm equal distance from both. Gem has good sandwiches, they just dont answer their phone, too bad.

Outside of Jersey, these bagels would be a 10. They are a solid 8.1 for the area. Staff is very nice and great to spark up a conversation with. The regulars that are hanging out 6am make it even better

This place is a Gem ! I usually get an Italian sandwich, which is always delicious and they are not shy with stacking the meat .. So I wanted something different today and ordered “the rancher “ with light ranch on a wrap toasted .. this is definitely going to be once or twice a week sandwich for me , The hip-hop bagel shop is off the charts #1 , top notch crew there to take care of you ..

Terrible customer service ! Purchase breakfast there every day for the last two months …. I ordered 4 bagels this morning and specifically told the girl no ketchup, she still put it and then refused to change it! Wanted to charge me $11 for another 2 bagels after paying $23 for bagels we weren’t going to eat. Will never order here again!
This is the only bagel shop me and my husband will go to. They close @2pm so it's nice to be able to sleep in on the weekends and still be able to go there when we wake up late. They always get our order correct and made the way we like. The staff is also very friendly and takes time to get to know you. I definitely recommend!!!

While working Medic Unit #1201 yesterday on a posting reassignment in Perth Amboy, started the shift with a Breakfast Sandwich...Found this GEMS Bagels storefront in South Amboy, NJ.Ordered the usual Pork Roll, Eggs, Cheese on a Everything Bagel with SPK.Very well made sandwich that out did my last sandwich at their Hwy 35, Hazlet location...

This is the only bagel shop me and my husband will go to. They close @2pm so it's nice to be able to sleep in on the weekends and still be able to go there when we wake up late.
