Was there with my girlfriend, she also wrote a review. Chef (he) was rude and didn’t give our money back. Would not give money back, even took the food away, and no alternatives; chips were expired overall rough service at best. Besides the woman behind the counter, which we tipped, the experience was 1/10.

The food was bad so after spending 50$ I sent back ONE thing and he yelled at me took my food away and said he won’t give me my money back bc it’s MY fault I didn’t like it ?!!

*Stay away *Chef is the rudest guy ever. Went to tell the women the sandwich was not good and wanted my money back or try to something else. The guy comes from the back said the chicken salad is perfectly fine , I told him it’s is all celery and no chicken and it’s disgusting The chef had no remorse said that’s our problem that we don’t like it that our taste buds are messed up and that it’s our problem because everyone else there likes it says he will not give us our money back will not exchange it for anything else I will not compensate at all after we spent over $50 on food and the sandwiches were all fillers with lettuce and tomato, and the tomatoes were the end of the tomato with the stem still on it This place has horrible management. The food is gross and their personalities are even worse. Who treats a customer like that !! The woman who took our order was nice at least gave her a tip.

Nice little spot 4 coffee which I enjoyed very much & they also have a nice selection of breakfast & lunch sandwiches Location is very near Raritan Bay Waterfront Park to stop in on your way after going for a walk/stroll, or before 4 ur Java fix on the cute little Main St in South Amboy. 9 minutes by car or

I did a morning run and did go straight to Java Dave’s Coffee, ordered a bun with eggs and it has a good taste plus the espresso coffee. My day got a good start
