Mark, the owner of Madison Deli, brought this place back from the dead. It had gone through a number of owners, but it seemed no one could keep this place going until Mark took over. The food is great, and the service is phenomenal. Many years ago, this building was a deli with a soda fountain and grill. It had a long counter with stools. You could get a meal or a quick sandwich and a soda from the fountain. It was well known for its ice cream floats and shakes. My mom actually worked there back then, and I, as a child, spent a lot of time there. This place is still one of my favorite places to get breakfast sandwiches. Mark's staff makes great sandwiches and are very fast to serve.

I would have to agree with the prior review. I visited the deli for a breakfast sandwich. It had what seemed like 1 and a half strips of bacon. The only thing I tasted was the bread. Extremely disappointing! However, the staff was pleasant and seemed to know everyone by name, which makes the establishment very welcoming. I just wish the sandwich was portioned a lot better. I should not feel hungry directly after eating! So upset!

Ten dollars for a breakfast sandwich. Last week I got a breakfast Sandwich. It was $10. then to day I go in and get the same Sandwich was $9, So it seems to me like the guy that was working Stole a dollar from me to put in the tip jar. The Exxon up the road has way bigger sandwiches than they use boarshead products, and their prices are half of what this place charges. There is no excuse why a Sandwich could ever be that high. even in Manhattan, you don't pay that much for bacon, egg, and cheese. You are forced to order extras at madison deli because Their sandwiches have half the product everywhere else has.
