I ordered over the phone and the first transaction was declined, then ordered again and it went threw successfully but the Food made me and my wife very sick. That was October 29th, we are still waiting for both refunds that we're promised to us till today. Don't order or eat here, there food will make you sick and they still your money. You will not receive a refund for any mistake they make.

I’m extremely disappointed with my family’s recent experience at this Papa John’s location. We placed an order, paid for it, and never received our pizzas! The workers who my father tried to contact about the situation were uncooperative, and blatantly disrespectful. They refused to give back the money that was prepaid for the food then hung up the phone call rather than working to find a resolution.
It’s unacceptable to take someone’s money and fail to deliver the order— This pizza was supposed to be a treat for our guest and their failure to deliver had completely left us disappointed and upset. For your next event, I highly recommended ordering pizza from somewhere more honest and dependable. Your money should be going towards a business that has integrity and cares for their customers and their experiences.
I had a terrible experience with both the Papa John’s in Edison (Rt 27 near JFK Hospital) and the South Plainfield location on October 19th. I placed an order by phone through the Edison store, which transferred the order to South Plainfield since our location (MLK Cricket Ground) was in their delivery zone. I prepaid $57.98 — and never received the pizza.
When I followed up, they claimed the driver called me and left after waiting 15 minutes. I was in the middle of a cricket match and didn’t realize I was supposed to be watching for a call — but no one attempted to deliver the food in person or leave any note. Since then, I have called both stores multiple times.
The Edison manager, Rupender, was rude, dismissive, and even hung up the phone. The South Plainfield manager, Vikas, was equally unprofessional and refused to issue a refund despite clear proof that no pizza was delivered.
This is an unethical and unacceptable way to treat paying customers. I had 20–25 people present who can confirm that no delivery ever arrived. I’m extremely disappointed and will never order from Papa John’s again unless this issue is resolved.
Save yourself the frustration — these locations have zero customer service, no accountability, and no respect for honest customers.

Terrible service and manager. They will take your payment and deliver to the wrong address, and then offer no refund. Extremely rude manager, never order from here.
I just to share our experience with papa John
Pizza south plain NJ
My husband ordered pizza from them on Sunday
Around 20 people playing at Mlk
And waiting for Pizza
Pizza men came and called my husband accidentally he missed the call but in park there are 20 people right there waiting for pizza pizza driver should ask any one who order pizza instead of any effort he just call once and left. They all wait and then call and inform south plain papa John they don’t received pizza so just reimburse money my husband is a qualified person he is a physician at RWJ instead of help very rude behave from papa John manger Vikas did with him
Instead of listen to him and helped he refused to give money back it’s a first time in USA
We have experienced this
There 20 people have evidence who were waiting out there .we will keep this matter to upper high level not because matter of money they misbehave
With my husband and he tried to call Edison the manger of Edison also not helped he hang up ph on him.Vikas being very rude with my husband
Request to high level of south plain field higher authority to tell their manger to respect their customers listen them and trained them right before hire them we protest all 20 people
How come they disrespect such a qualified citizen of USS
We all 20 people will report this behave of Mr Vikas who has done disrespect of my husband
Slowly all 20 people will write reviews slowly we all demand to give some training to Mr. Villas how to deal customers and respect them
And all 20 people know pizza was not delivered
They will come forward soon

On October 19th, my family had an extremely disappointing experience with the South Plainfield Papa John’s. My father placed a delivery order to a nearby park where over 20 of our relatives were gathered.
The driver called once, and when my father returned the call a couple of minutes later, the driver said he had already left and refused to come back—speaking to him rudely despite several people being available to receive the order.
When my father contacted the store, a man identifying himself as “Vikas” claimed to be the manager but was dismissive, disrespectful, and hung up instead of resolving the issue, no manager by that name works there.
This experience showed a serious lack of professionalism and honesty. We hope this issue is properly addressed to prevent it from happening to other customers.

I ordered from Papa John’s and the driver never delivered our pizza. When I called the store, I spoke with Vikas, the manager, who was completely unhelpful. Instead of resolving the issue or offering a refund for the missing order, he insisted there was nothing he could do. It’s unacceptable to charge customers for food that never arrives and then refuse to make it right. I’ve always liked Papa John’s, but this experience and the lack of accountability from management have completely ruined my trust in this location.

The individual who took my order was very pleasant. I should have looked at the food before leaving the store. I ordered large thin crust extra cheese pies, there was no sauce and no cheese. It was so late I didn't go back out. I'm disappointed that I paid for what was basically cardboard.

I’ve been ordering from this location for the past four years, but today’s experience was disappointing. The two medium pizzas I received were far below Papa John’s usual standard—both had barely any cheese! See the picture for yourself. I hope this was just a one-time issue, but if it happens again, I’ll have to reconsider ordering from this store.

Papa John’s South Plainfield is known for its consistently good quality pizza with a focus on fresh ingredients. The crust is typically soft and slightly chewy, with a noticeable garlic butter seasoning that many customers enjoy. The sauces, especially the pizza sauce and the signature dipping sauce(Garlic and Spicy Garlic), are a standout for their tangy and flavorful profiles. Toppings are plentiful and of decent quality, though some might find them a bit standard compared to other pizza chains.
One of Papa John's biggest selling points is their commitment to using better-quality ingredients like 100% real mozzarella cheese and antibiotic-free meats. They also offer a variety of specialty pizzas, such as the "The Works" or "Papadia" (a pizza-burger hybrid), and a decent range of side options, including breadsticks and chicken wings.
While their pizza can be a bit on the greasy side, the combination of flavors tends to satisfy, making it a reliable option for a quick pizza night. The delivery service is typically prompt, and online ordering is easy to navigate.
However, the price can be higher than some other chains, especially for specialty pizzas. For those looking for a more gourmet or unique pizza experience, Papa John’s may not always hit the mark, but for a satisfying, comfort-food pizza, it's a solid choice.

I ordered cheese sticks it came dry with no cheese on them and only enough sauce to only eat 4 pieces . It didn’t even come with the famous garlic sauce … it’s like they just through it in without care . The store wasn’t even busy . The girl was in the back on her phone . I will never buy from this papa John’s again it’s horrible
