I was on the high way and google african restaurant near me with my children. We found this little spot. It was a bit off 95 but worth the experience. The lady was very pleasant, the food was amazing. The portion size for the price was great. I was really surprise about. My kids enjoyed the rice and fried plantains. I have never seen a big size banku in my life. Great atmosphere, great customer service and great food. Will stop by again whenever we are this way.

Please you guys need to do better! You were doing sooo good. I loved your food until today when I got some fried rice and it was slimy. Mind you I was starving but I had to throw it away. Guys please make sure that the food you’re serving is fresh enough before it leaves your kitchen. I just lost my money and appetite. This comment is not coming from hate but concern because someone could really get sick from this. I pray that I don’t.

I ordered banku and Okra stwe jollof rice today Tuesday 29th October 2024, oh my gosh. I bought 2 banku, I couldn't finish 1 with my 2 children. I don't know where they got that okra from. Very bad food.it hurts me so much I wasted my $45 on this food. This is my second time buying. They are all bad experience 😔. I will NEVER buy food from this restaurant again.

Food is fresh and made to order and great portion sizes. You may need to be patient as the food takes longer, but that’s how great african food is. Well worth the wait. The atmosphere was great, afrobeats and amapiano music videos and dj’s playing on the TV. The bathroom was very clean and had paper towels. Very kind workers and very hospitable. One if the best overall West African restaurants I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a lot in several states. Definitely recommend and will be returning.

We stumbled over this place on Über and decided to give it a shot, we were definitely impress with the food and then getting our orders correct. Since then we have ordered there at least 4 or 5 more times and has always met our expectations. The jollof and Waakye are both flavorable and the goat meat is tender, not too hard to chew. The fish is always well fried. I tried the light soup and it wasn’t really what I’m used to but I’ll definitely give it another shot. Overall I do recommend this

The food presentation was nice, but the flavor wasn't there. The only thing that had flavor was the fried fish and the green pepper that came with the Acheke. The fried plantains were also good, but that's because they were really ripped. That's it.

As someone who has lived in Ghana and Ivory Coast, I know how these foods should taste like. Unfortunately, the food I ordered didn't taste good.

The beans, the jollof rice, the okra soup, and Acheke all had no flavor. Whoever makes the food doesn't know how to cook, I'm sorry, but I'm known to be blunt and don't sugarcoat.

Maybe the chef at this restaurant should try food from other Ghanaian restaurant and compare it to what He/she cooks and be honest with themselves.

Nobody likes to be criticized, but if you take criticism and improve, you will go a long way.

I recommend Asante's Restaurant in Teaneck, and my second pick so far will be 5 loaves in Somerset.

Will not order from this place again unless they improve!

Such a great place with large food portions at an affordable price. However their service is very bad!I’ve been here 3 times and received food after at least 35 to 40 minutes of wait…I suggest you come here prepared for the wait and have your patience ready for practice… otherwise I do enjoy the food and will keep on coming!
