me and my boyfriend come here ALL the time. last night for valentine’s day, we made a reservation for 7:30, we knew they’d be pretty busy as a amazing hot spot, especially on a night like valentine’s day. we got our apps and drinks, but as 9:00 approached, we were still waiting for our food. we live about 20 mins from there and were getting kind of tired and decided to ask to have our food packaged to go. being that at that time, they were still extremely busy, nevermind the overflow of take out orders, the staff was absolutely incredible. we could see them rushing around, but making sure to attend each table! their hard work did not go unnoticed!!!!! we felt bad about having changed our order to go, if we had made our reservation for earlier, we definitely would’ve sat and stayed. a HUGE THANK YOU TO THE AMAZING STAFF AND KITCHEN!!!!! they packed our food to go, and 2 kitchen staff came and apologized for it taking so long, we which SO understood, and didn’t want them to feel bad at all!! when we got home, we had noticed that free of charge, they gave us another round of the appetizers we ordered, FOR FREE, and also threw in a free order of shrimp dumplings that we did not order!!! i didn’t want their kind actions to go unnoticed. we thank you so much for your kindness, and can’t wait to come back again soon!!!! this place is just the best!!! never disappointed!

When their rolls say contains crab it is not it is imitation crab. That should be specifically stated considering the high price. That is why I only give them 3 stars for food. Their real ingredient food would rate 4

This is a solid Asian fusion restaurant with exceptionally friendly staff and adequate sushi. The tempura fried eggplant with miso glaze, as well as the spicy crispy chicken are fantastic. The sushi isn't NYC quality but is very good for the area.

Horrible service on a Friday night 6pm. Waited 75 minutes to get a tray of sushi. Thank you, goolge Timer. They can't handle a rush. Sushi B+ Nothing to rave about. I would say this place is a lunch spot with less traffic. Look elsewhere!!

The staff was SO NICE, the service was just transactional but the food was not great. My roll seemed like there were 2 wraps on it and it was very hard to chew. I didn't say anything because I wanted to eat with my partner. The soda was low on syrup and overall the place fell flat. But they were very friendly.

Asian island has been my favorite place for sushi in Sparta for years. The tuna pizza is incredible. All their sushi is so fresh and I have never been disappointed with anything I have received!

Straight facts: ordered food at 6:30 was told should be ready in 40 minutes because they were a little busy. (Which a 40 minute wait is normal for this place on a Friday night) Got there at 7:30 was told it would be another 30 minute wait. Left went to the Stop and Shop picked up some things for the house and came back at 8:10. Waited ANOTHER 20 minutes. Was offered tea, declined. This is the SECOND time this has happened. Would have not been mad if they were like "hey, we're very busy it's gonna be about at least an hour wait". Food is very good and staff is extremely kind and friendly. It's a shame cuz idk if we will be going back.
