Homey and good food. Very different inside. A real country restaurant.
My server Jarrod was really nice! He gave me free bread!

My sister and I stopped for a Sunday afternoon lunch as we used to do on our special day...ending with the lunch at the homestead. We were greeted by a very agitated server, only 3 other tables occupied at the time. Service was quick, but unfriendly. We were told by her that a server just "left" and she was very busy. We understood, but it should not have been taken out on the patrons. Let's just say...food there was good. Drink order was double of what we ordered and take out dinners were just horrible. After years of having a nice meal we felt that prices were on the high side but food at the table was good. Most likely not to visit within the near future and after hearing other complaints from friends. I hope that sometime in the future we visit management will have improved. Caution: Do not get take out food without checking your food first. We could have done just as well with Kentucky Fried Chicken!

Good food, but sometimes the burgers are well done when you ask for medium rare. Drinks are always great.

There was a time when this place was one of my favorite in the county. And over the years it has just been continuously going downhill. It's a shame cuz it's still can be or sometimes is still good, then the next time you're there it is just beyond mediocre. Over the past few years it's gotten worse. I don't know who owns the place but every time something bad happens there it seems to have something to do with the owners son. Don't know who he is I don't know what he looks like but if 5% of what I hear is true somebody needs to keep him out of that restaurant because it's going to be circling the drain sooner rather than later

Food is mediocre at best and a limited menu. Service was slow even though it wasn't crowded, plus when 2 of us got our desserts, both fork handles were laying in the whipped cream. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area with better food and service.

Great place with welcoming faces and great fan fare with everything made in house. Stop on Wednesdays for karaoke. Sit at the bar and ask for Lauren, I’m sure she will spoil you as she did us.
Great steaks. Amazing burger and wings. Carrot cake was one of the best I have ever had.

We had such a great time at The Homestead! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. The atmosphere is so welcoming and family-friendly, and to top it all off, we got to visit sweet Betsy the cow! 🐄
It’s such a unique spot where you can enjoy an amazing meal and also connect with the animals — my kids loved every second of it. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Asked for burger to be medium....got a small burnt up hockey puck. The chips are greasy.
And I got the check thrown at me.
Not going back.

I ordered the salmon with lemon dill sauce. Came with potatoes, veggies and a side salad. Good size portion. Delicious!

Service is great. Food is meh. They have homemade potato chips but they were not made fresh. Mine were cold and a bit soggy from the oil. They must be great when they are just made but I will never know since I likely won't be back. No free refills. That's a pet peeve of mine. Soda is dirt cheap for them. Most good restaurants give free refills. They have an upcharge for beef, which is understandable, but it was extreme. Adding steak to quesadillas was an extra $18 on top of a $12 cost. The server was alone but she hustled and was friendly. We got our food fast.
Did the Legend challenge here years ago. Crushed the record in 22 minutes. Got a Hall of Fame t-shirt and my name in the book. This place was in the movie In And Out with Kevin Kline. Cool vibe.
I really want this place to be better...since covid portions are smaller and quality isn't the same...place just isn't worth it's prices... its unfortunate because I used to love this place.
