Mediocre food and horrific service on Mother's day! We left without being fed our entrees after 2.5 hours of waiting. Awful!

I order shrimp scampi wasn’t good. I have to send it back after waiting 30 minutes second they put us front of the door since we are five people. They refuse to add two table and to sit by the window. Meanwhile, the restaurant was empty. I went to the bathroom to the men’s bathroom Door close it’s broken. That’s ridiculous.

We had a 30th birthday party dinner with about 25 people and it was really great! The food, service, space, location and price were all perfect for us. It was a 5 course meal that everyone honestly enjoyed, and the timing between went smoothly. There was space to mingle and relax, and times to sit and enjoy the meal. Photo ops on the boardwalk with the lake. We had fun. We would book with them again!

To summarize this restaurant into simple terms I would call it…disappointing and lackluster. Both myself and my partner have been to multiple of the restaurants on Lake Mohawk and have had wonderful experiences at both Kroghs and St. Moritz. We started simple, sat down after speaking to our accommodating hostess and waited for our server. She greeted us and informed that she would be back with water and wine glasses after receiving our appetizer order. To our surprise a busser brought us water…still no wine glasses…still no one to open our wine. We ended up stopping a passing waitress who then proceeded to open our wine and take our cork with her. This all happened after our appetizer of undercooked calamari graced the table. Unable to finish it we waited for the server to return to take our entree orders. We waited roughly 45 minutes for the food to finally come to the table after ordering, the only thing making it bearable was the wine. Nothing improved when we took our first bites. When a manager came to do her rounds and check in on tables she asked us how our food was. We were honest. I had lost my appetite all together and told her so. She proceeded to tell me that “another table just told me it was delicious, but okay.” which left a worse taste in both our mouths. All in all, we will not be returning, even if it was the last place on earth to go out for a meal.

My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose il Porto on Lake Mohawk for Sparta, our 127th town.
It was crisp fall evening and after walking around the lovely Lake Mohawk "downtown", we popped into il Porto for dinner. It's a cute & rustic restaurant on the inside, with outdoor seating with lake views during the warmer weather. Food was great! Service was okay. We were one of the first to be seated for dinner after 4pm, but the place quickly filled up after us.
It was a special the night we went, so you might not get the opportunity, but if they offer Scallops with Creamed Eggplant, ORDER IT! Yum! The Chicken Milanese and Salmon w/Risoto were on point.
il Porto is BYOB, which is common in Jersey. It's a great way to save you $$ over places that have to pay for an expensive liquor license.

We got married at Perona Farms in Aug. and had our rehearsal dinner here. The views were great, staff was helpful and the food was tasty. Overall it was a great experience .

Views are amazing. Right on the lake especially if you sit outside in the summer - it’s gorgeous. Food was ok. Calamari and sliders are good. Fish dishes were good too, the pasta was okay. Would recommend just for views alone.
Inside was kind of dark. We dined there in August and sat outside on the boardwalk. The food was fine. Little pricy but no unreasonable. The service was fine.
I would go again, but only in season.
