The specials were delicious as always. We had the birria tacos, cevice, and enchiladas Cinco de Mayo special. All were delicious. The service was fast and friendly.

I enjoy this restaurant but do get annoyed when places keep changing their menu. I am the type that if I have something there that I like, I'd like to return to have it again but have found every time I come to this place the menu is different and usually what I enjoyed previously is not there again. But other than that, this restaurant is great. The ambiance is dark but it's nice on a hot summer day for someone who does not enjoy the sun. The food is worth the price compared to many places in Sussex county. We don't mind paying more when the food is consistent, high quality and tastes great. The drinks are good and we were actually surprised that our bill wasn't more. It's a win for us!

As recent new residents of Sparta this continue to be our local place of choice. The service is fantastic. Any issues always dealt with in a fast and friendly manner. Food was excellent and we will continue to come back here

I was looking for a restaurant with the view of the lake and it was a Monday windy day, so I only happy to sit inside and watch the lake from a distance. The pot pie was excellent, as well as the carrot cake. The service was the best, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for the area.

A local brewpub that serves good food and good drinks. Their beers are tasty and solid without being revolutionary or mind blowing. Beer snobs will be disappointed, but those who enjoy good local beer will enjoy it and be very appreciative. The food is flavorful and varied and service is friendly. This is a great spot if you're local or visiting Sparta and Lake Mohawk.

So I was hesitant to write this review but after thinking about it felt like I should. I have been to Kroghs many times...during my last three visits I have been disappointed in different ways when compared to my previous experiences.

During my most recent visit I got a full rack of ribs (pretty much what I order every time). While pricey, the rack is usually a good size and I even take home a little. This time the rack was ridiculously small...so small I even had to ask if it was a full rack. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. With that said, I will give it one more shot but I may done going to Kroghs which makes me sad to say.

Overall, seems to be get pricer for less and less.

Krogh's is a beautiful restaurant in a lovely area, and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Parking is a nightmare, circled the area for 15 mins before finally catching a spot as someone was leaving. If we weren't meeting people, we'd have gone elsewhere. Dinner for four (no drinks) totaled $160 including 25% tip, so I think it was adequately priced for the quality. If you like bland food in a really nice atmosphere, this is your place. We won't be returning.

Krogh's is a Sparta classic for sure. Lots of character and charm but overall average in all aspects.

Met some friends for Friday night dinner. Enjoyed our dinner choices, shrimp and grits and a pork belly sandwich. Friends had ribs and bratwurst platter. Homemade root beer and fresh iced tea. Our waitress was exceptional, really helpful and attentive without being overwhelming. When she heard the rib order, she RAN to the kitchen to secure one of the last racks for my friend. I forgot her name, but she was the best part! The seating is tight in the room with bar and it was a little loud, but overall liked the ambiance. There was some live music, but we couldn't really hear it well. We weren't close enough, and it got a little drowned out by the tight chatter. My only dislike was parking. The whole street was packed and we had to park on a side street kind of far and down a hill. I realize it was a Friday night, so I get it - but it was raining so I was a little agitated. Not the restaurants fault.🤷‍♀️

French onion soup looks def better on the picture than when it was served. Half of it was on the plate not in the bowl.
